Happy Monday ladies! I am writing from a cruise ship, and we are on our way to the Southern Caribbean. My outfits for the next week or so will be a mixture of resort wear and spring fashion.
Today I’m styling a simple striped top from JCPenney. I love the colors, and the long sleeves have a slight puff at the top.
My wedges from Amazon and I will be wearing them a lot!
I have been looking for the perfect crop straight leg jean for spring, and I found them with these Madewell jeans. They have a higher rise, raw hemline and the slightest distressing. These jeans can be dressed up with heels or dressed down with a cute pair of sneakers.
Spring jewelry is so fun! I added these red earrings fro Social Threads. My bracelet is from EVEREVE, and the round gold piece says, Be Kind. My rings are from Madewell.

I know what you mean about finding the right straight cut cropped jean. Since petite I love cropped jeans & the ones that taper at the ankle. That slight taper makes all the difference. I have a couple of favorites I wash over & over. ha! Love your striped top with the jeans. You look ready for a great day on your vacation. So cute!
I think I’ve read where you carb cycle? If that’s true, could you give some pointers as to how you to that? It seems rather complicated. You look so great!!

You look so cute and your trip sounds amazing. I’d have no idea what size to order in the jeans. I usually wear a 27, but see you size down quite a bit in these. I need to find some good crop straight but most I don’t like the look of. These seems more tapered at the bottom which I like. I’m just such a skinny jean fan. Hard to switch. They go with every shoe. 🙂 Have a great vacation.

Cindy do these jeans run large or have you lost weight? You usually have said you wear a 28 or 27? Just wondering if these should be sized down when ordered?
I haven’t lost any weight but because they’re boyfriend I guess they run big. I tried the 26 and the 27’s and they were too big. I would definitely size down.

Cyndi- God is definitely good! My Mom is undergoing a biopsy today to check for lymphoma. This Bible passage got me through surgery three years ago for an abnormal colon polyp, and I just sent her this passage not more than 15 minutes ago. I definitely needed to see it again and here it is! God bless you in your ministry to all of us!

Let me say I think you are the most adorable, well put together lady. You are gorgeous in all that you wear. I am having such a hard time with these jeans though. Same with the flares. Its been so long since I have worn or seen these, I feel like the just add pounds. I guess they are in for a while and we need to adjust our eyes to them? Do you feel as good in them as you do skinnies? I cant imagine I would feel as good.
Well, maybe not but I’m really starting to like them. I will not give up my skinny jeans though!
Maria, it’s a common misconception that skinny jeans make you look skinny…false…they actually ADD pounds, so whatever extra weight anyone is carrying, they emphasize it. It’s the bootcut, straight, and flared style that actually slenderize because they balance out the hip area.
