Spring Dresses | Easter and Weddings

Happy hump day ladies! I knew I was going to have a busy week and busy it has been. I am ready for the weekend, and I don’t think we have any big plans, so I’m hoping to get caught up on some things.

Today I’m styling some spring dresses, and the first one up is from JCPenney. Let me begin by saying I’m sorry because there is only one size left. I just ordered this dress, and there were plenty of sizes!! If you wear a size 10, you’re in luck.

Of course, you can go by the store, and they might have more sizes available. I love this dress, and it would be pretty to wear for Easter or a spring/summer wedding, etc.

It has a cute cut-out detail in the back.

Spring Dresses for Workwear & EasterNext, I have a Calvin Klein Sleeveless Sheath dress with starburst detail. There are plenty of sizes and colors and patterns of this dress. It is a bit more expensive, but it’s still under $100.

Spring Dresses for Workwear & Easter The side detail accentuates your waist. This dress would also be a great option for Easter or a spring/summer wedding.

This bracelet is from Amazon and not the real Hermes.

Spring Dresses for Workwear & EasterNothing fancy in the back but I know some of you like to see the back of my outfits.

Spring Dresses for Workwear & EasterI’ve shared these nude heels with you before, but they go with everything!

Spring Dresses for Workwear & EasterYou can add a trench coat if the weather is cool or a button-up cardigan.

Beauty For The Heart~~“I’ve been there so many times in life. In some ways, even though I’ve started a new journey, I’m still on the cusp of discovering all the reasons God has us here.

I am slowly reading and studying through the book of Nehemiah. I love how he faced his fears and foes boldly. He relied on God’s strength throughout and never wavered in his faith.

So, if you’re in a period of waiting, or you’re in a period of fear, or facing an unknown, or wondering what God might do through your current situation, from the example of Nehemiah and my own experience, can I be a voice into your life for a moment?

God is not ignorant of your situation. He’s not perplexed, or overwhelmed, or confused or wondering what He will do.

God sees potential in you that you can’t see. He’s got plans for you that you can’t even imagine.

Your greatest fear is often in an area where God can use you most. He gets all the glory when you have to depend on Him.

Faith doesn’t answer the how or when question. Sometimes it doesn’t even answer the what. Faith answers the Who question.

The silence of God doesn’t equate to the absence of God. God is at work. He is fully in control.

So, my encouragement to you is to keep waiting. And, keep watching. And, keep trusting. When it’s time — and God has you ready — if you will humbly submit to His will, He will reveal His plan and work through you to accomplish it. And, it will be good. Very, very, good.”

  1. I bought this dress last summer but was saving it for a special occasion this spring. What shapewear or undergarments do you recommend with this dress to avoid showing pantylines? Do you recommend hose or not?

  2. I love the pink dress! Thanks for showing the back views. Sometimes the zipper, back details, and fit make a difference. Love your blog.

  3. Cyndi,
Your Beauty for the Heart words were excellent today! Just what I needed and gave me a huge boost. Thank you and God Bless you!

  4. Hi Cyndi,
I love your posts but don’t care for the ads that run along with your post. Is there a way to disable them?
    Thanks!

  5. Beautiful dresses.. JC Penny never seems to fall short in this department. I’m going to look at that bracelet on Amazon. I wondered what the H stood for 🤷‍♀️
    Enjoy your time with Claire:)

  6. Some size and color combos of that Calvin Klein dress are under $100 but some are over. And the prices on Amazon fluctuate day to day. Do you remember a couple of years ago you got a bright pink dress in a trunk club box and you said you looked like a big piece of bubble gum? Haha! But pink is special to me as a breast cancer survivor, so I wear it proudly! Glad to see you styling it now. Are you planning on keeping it? I know you can’t possibly keep everything you style for us.

  7. OMGoodness I don’t shop Penney’s and they have a big ole office here. I have found the cutest dresses, tops and bottoms. Thanks for styling some of their clothes!

  8. Wow! Great stuff in the BFTH today! Truths we all need to know and be reminded of. Those dresses are both beautiful on you and so appropriate for Easter. Love those Steve Madden pumps!

  9. Going to a wedding the weekend after Easter and the invite states cocktail?? Would either of these work for that?

  10. Hi Cindy,
Thank you for so much for sharing your “finds” and showing low cost options. I have purchased several of your outfits/pieces. I like the dresses, but noticed the pink one is below your knees. Is that your preference, or is that a new style. I am 5’2″ and ususally wear dresses just above my knee. Just wondering if I need to change hem lenghts to be in style.
Thank you and keep the scriptures coming. I love to read them at the end of your post and often read them to my husband. God bless you and the ministry you provide!

  11. Those dresses are beautiful on you Cindi! Thank you for the BFTH today. It was exactly what I needed and I was greatly encouraged.

  12. Hi Cyndi!
I do love these dresses very much! You look stunning as usual. Lovely dresses to wear to a summer wedding. Thank you for the words of encouragement Cyndi. God bless you and your family.

  13. They are both gorgeous dresses. I love the modern floral print on the first dress. Sadly, I wear an #8. The pink one has beautiful detailing and really accentuates the waist. I love sheath dresses.
Enjoy your time with Claire. Get all the cuddles, smiles and hugs you can crowd into every opportunity. They grow up so fast. My youngest granddaughter is now 10 and more interested in her iPhone. I miss those sweet baby times.

    1. Make it the rule when your granddaughter visits the phone gets put away for the first 2-3hrs. My kids don’t even get a phone until 8th gr graduation. There is no “NEED” until then. We lose a layer of parenting the minute kids get a phone. You will not regret setting that rule with your granddaughter.

      1. I do! A the dinner table there are no phones. My daughter admitted that if she & her husband are not willing to put their phones aside then they can’t expect their children to do so. As a grandparent it is out of my control. Thank you for weighing in.
