Striped Midi Dress Under $30

Welcome to Day 1 of 25 Days of Summer Fashion! When I think of summer fashion, I think shorts and tank tops, I think white, and I think lots of cool summer dresses. Today we’re starting with a striped midi dress from JCPenney that’s under $30.

I think this dress has a J.Crew look without the J.Crew price. I love the colors, and it has sleeves (some of you have asked for dresses with sleeves).

I paired this dress with the cutest wedges sandals that are under $25, and even though they have a heel, they’re very comfortable.

I’m a huge fan of the midi dresses right now. So many women have wanted longer lengths and boy are they trending this summer. Whether it’s a midi or a maxi dress, they are everywhere.

I think the sleeve detail on this dress gives it a nice touch.

I talked about summer accessories yesterday and how they can step up your style. I shared tassel earrings and rattan handbags; I added both to my outfit.

**For some reason JCPenney is not letting me link directly to the dress or the wedge sandals. They are both a.n.a. brand.

If you’re looking for a cute summer dress that won’t bust your budget, this one from JCPenney is a great option and perfect for summer!

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and, Instagram.

Beauty for the Heart~~I thought I would pick a theme for June and I decided on ENCOURAGEMENT. So whether it’s scripture or a quote that has encouraged me, I’m going to share it with you over the next month.

Let me begin with one of my favorite verses. I have allowed fear at times to rule me, and when I start to feel fearful, I claim this verse. I will write it on a notecard and put it on my bathroom mirror, on my refrigerator and even in my car.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. 2 Tim 1:7 (AMP)

God does not want us to live in fear; he wants us, even during difficult seasons, to remain calm because He is always with us.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Cyndi, The stripes on the dress do not match up at all! The price may be good but the quality is unfortunately not.
Thank you for sharing 2 Tim 1:7! Such a powerful verse!

  2. Can you link the dress and shoes? The links provided take you to the homepage for the site. Thanks!

  3. Hello, Cyndi! 🙋🏻‍♀️

The striped dress is cute, but something about it doesn’t look good on you.🤔 And I took a closer look and saw that the stripes in front are uneven with the other stripes and looks odd!
Other than that, the dress is cute, but not for me!

  4. The dress is so cute & summery for sure. The sleeves are a nice change.

Thanks for the scripture today & those coming these next several days. I’ve been struggling to keep my head above water – I’ve had 2 rounds of pneumonia since December, been diagnosed with arthritis is my left knee & right hip (oh the pain I’ve had & am having) and my job has been a struggle (I’m a children’s pastor)- so any word of encouragement & especially Gods word is so true & real.

    Have a blessed day Cyndi

  5. Such a pretty summer dress! I love stripes anyway and especially the cute detail on the sleeves. I’m enjoying the midi length and just recently bought a pretty midi dress and a skirt to wear this summer!

  6. You look great in that dress! And I want it, so I’m hoping they have it in my size. As an almost 63 yr old, I am enjoying wearing the few casual dresses I have more than my long summer pants, etc. Great BFTH!

  7. I really like that dress and those shoes. I think I’d belt the dress with a tan belt. I am tallish (5’7″) and have hips and boobs that take up length in a dress, so I’m beyond happy to have some longer dresses (not maxi) to choose from. Those 36″ and even 38″ lengths just look vulgar on me! I hope the stores will continue to offer all sorts of lengths, because there are all sorts of shapes and sizes out there and we all need to feel good in our clothes.

  8. Wondering if this is a dress that will need to be ironed. It looks like cotton from here. Don’t do ironing.

  9. You look so pretty in this dress and the earrings are perfect with it. I love all the bright colors.

  10. Love all the colors in this dress..and yes stripes. They seem to be everywhere. Looking forward to this series and your BFTH encouragement verses.
    Have a great weekend 😀
