We are Free, Free Indeed!

Just like that, it’s Sunday! The weekends fly by don’t they?

This past week, my daughter sent me a picture of Colt jumping in the pool. I texted back, “Nothing better than being a kid in the summertime.”

This picture reminds me of my childhood. Not a care in the world. Wake up. Eat breakfast. Play. Eat dinner. Go back outside and play some more.

The more I looked at the picture, it also reminds me of a scripture verse. John 8:36 says, So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36

We are Free, Free Indeed!

What are we free from? Oh, I love this, ladies!

We are free from past sins; we are free from guilt; we are free from allowing sin to control us.

Many of us know that we have been forgiven, but we live defeated lives. We let our pasts define our future.

It’s like being in a jail cell, and they have opened the door and said you are free to leave now. But, instead of leaving, you’re still sitting in that cell.

Christ came and died for our sins (Romans 5:8), and you don’t have to sit in the jail cell anymore. You are FREE! I am FREE!

Knowing that I’m free from my past sins and guilt makes me want to jump like Colt. I’m so thankful!!

“This song is about freedom. Free from the tyranny of self, free from the opinion of doubters, set free from the chains of our past and the hopelessness of life without God. Gods kindness has brought us in from the outside and made us royalty. Gods truth over us is final. Sometimes it’s good to remind our selves that God says over us” -Reuben Morgan
