Animal Print for Summer Fashion

Hey sweet friends! It’s hard to believe that we are over halfway through July. Summer is flying by! One of the things I’ve seen a lot of this summer and I know it’s going to carry over into fall is animal print. It. Is. Everywhere!

You can wear animal print belts, shoes, tops, pants, pajamas, and the list goes on. I love adding some animal print to my wardrobe, and today I’ve got 2 inexpensive tops (both under $20) to share with you.

The first top is from Amazon. This top comes in a ton of different prints. There is also a long sleeve version.

I’m also styling black shorts from JCPenney, and they are on sale for under $10.

I did a front tuck on with both tops and left the back hanging longer.

My sandals are from EVEREVE, and they are also on sale.

Next up, is a snake print blouse from Target. I know some of you don’t like snake print, but it is definitely trending this year.

This is a great blouse to wear with shorts, but you can dress it up with black pants or a black skirt.

I know I mentioned this yesterday, but my Madewell sandals are on sale.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and, Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~Jude 1:2 says, May God give you more and more mercy, peace, and love.

  • Mercy- If God gave me what I deserve, yikes. I’m thankful he loves me and gives me more and more mercy.
  • Peace- Couldn’t we all use some peace? I want peace in my home, and definitely in this world.
  • Love- I’m not talking about loving the people that are easy to love. But Lord help us love the unloveable!

Have a blessed day ladies full of mercy, peace, and love!

  1. Cute cute outfit, Cyndi. . . . . as with mostly every outfit you put out here on the blog!!!! How far a drive between you and your sis now? My sis is 7 hours away so I am always so ready to see her when we get together but we do talk ALL the time. Haha!! Oh, and I think your short length is perfect fine for your body. Have a blessed day girlie 🙂

  2. Has something changed with your pics? Because I can’t link them to Pinterest like I use to be able to? I like to save them so I can go back and review for style inspirations.

  3. these tops are both really cute and can carry over into fall with a cardigan. i have a leopard like that one from target. so I may have to go a see what they have in this snake skin print.

  4. Hi Cyndi, both tops are cute, I really like the snake print. I think the length of your shorts are perfectly fine, I prefer the same length myself. I’m kind of sad for you and your dad that your sister and her family are moving away. I know it’s all good, but there is that bit of emptiness that lingers for a while. Have a great get away!

  5. I love love the blouse on the right. I know snake print is “in”, but I just don’t like it. lol

  6. Love both these tops.. I just bought a cheetah print tank top to wear with my olive green shorts. I’m going to look into these two you’ve shared as they would be great transition pieces… appreciate your BFTH one for my journal.
    Blessings
    Karen

  7. Cute tops! I love both but have so much leopard already, so the snake print is a fun alternative!
Also thanks for featuring some inexpensive steals! I always love the affordable fashion posts!

  8. Enjoy your blog and recommendations. As a Christian mom and grandmother just wish you would consider not wearing such short shorts. Our young girls and teenagers need to see that modesty can be fun. Thank you.

  9. I like the snake print best. I think it feels more “fresh.” I just bought the cutest pair of snakeskin loafers:) Looking ahead – not necessarily forward – to fall:)

  10. Thank you for always showing outfits from all stores. I am retired and don’t need to speed a lot of money for everyday outfits.
I enjoy seeing these tips from Target and Old Navy. But most of all Thank you for introducing me to clothes on amazon!!
    My new place to shop!!

  11. Loved this post Cindy. I am one of those trying to get used to the snake print. The leopard t-shirt is my first Amazon purchase and am very happy with it. Got is pretty. Have fun in Charleston, it’s a dream vacation yme. Appreciate your time. Sharon Bryan

  12. I love leopard print! I have a belt, dress, loafers and several tops. My nickname is Miss Kitty. Given to me years ago because of my love for leopard print! My grandsons call me Kitty 😊

  13. I love my leopard print flats but I’m inspired to add some other items to the rotation! Definitely no “danger noodle” print for me (shudder!) but it seems to be everywhere!

    1. I love animal prints and wear them year round.

Hope you enjoy your visit to Charleston. It’s a beautiful city. I was born and raised in SC but I loved Kentucky as well when I lived there 30 years ago.

  14. I like these tops and they could both be worn right into fall with a denim jacket. Target does have some cute items and I wanted to ask if you can share the link to the olive sleeveless dress you styled but said it wasn’t online yet?
