We have made it to Friday, ladies! Yipee! Just in time for the weekend, I’ve got a summer date night dress to share with you. This dress is a part of the Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Summer of Color Collection. They have restocked the dress and added some new patterns.
I’m wearing the fire burgundy hot pink color, and it is gorgeous! I thought this pattern would transition into fall and be pretty for an early fall wedding. We are going to a wedding in September, and I might wear this dress with nude heels.
Make sure you check out all the pretty patterns, the Sardinia black white pattern would be great for now and into fall.
The back of the dress has a back keyhole opening with tie-loop closure.
I adore the high neckline, and the dress also has side pockets.

You’ll Love Everything about Charleston! My 2 Oldest daughters just moved there after College for work. Sad for me they are so far away but best Move they could have ever made! Enjoy every moment there!!
Sometime could you feature comfy, but fashionable shoes that are not flats? I’m sure there are others like me who need arch support.

wow whar a range of options. this is the exact dress i made about 30 yrs ago. it is such an easy style and i would not imagine any body shape that would not be flattered b it.

Love the colors in that dress! Have a great time in Charleston! We vacationed there maybe 6 or 7 years ago, and I still remember how good the shrimp & grits were at a restaurant called Hyman’s Seafood!

Just ordered it in the navy/red print. The ruffles and tie back are so feminine and pretty. It will be perfect for church, date night, and even back to school. Here in Texas, I can probably wear it through the fall.

I think it would be great for a fall wedding. I’ve heard not to wear white or off white to a wedding, you don’t want to look like the bride, but I think bright colors are fine.

I have this dress but the neckline really bothers me. I keep thinking I need to return it. Does it ever soften up or lay flatter? And love Charleston! Walking around the city is amazing.
Robin, I don’t know that it softens but it doesn’t bother me. If it bothers you, you might want to return it.
You will enjoy Charleston. We have been a few times and always loved it. I love the dress and love the color. May I say….?…that color maybe a little bold for a wedding. Just a month ago I was reading updated etiquette for weddings. As in the past, it was stated we must be careful not to outshine the bride. Bright colors was specifically mentioned as not to wear. I don’t want to be negative but just wondering,,,
At a semi formal wedding bright, bolder colours are fine during the day, but most guests change into darker coloured attire in the evening. For formal weddings, that dress would definitely be too bold, but simply not dressy enough anyways, so it would be great for a semi formal daytime wedding. It is a really pretty dress!
Oh my – enjoy Charleston. One of my favourite cities. Its just so pretty. One of my great memories from one trip there was an unexpected dolphin show out the front of the boat on a trip back from Fort Sumter. I mean, Fort Sumter was great but the dolphins swimming up in front of and beside the boat was magnificent.
I just always imagine the streets filled with the southern ladies in their beautiful big hooped dresses when I”m there.
