2019 Fall Trends Preview

Happy hump day ladies! Can you believe today is the last day of July?? What? This year is flying by!

Since tomorrow is August 1st, and while I know it’s still summer, I’m starting to look at fall trends and what we will be wearing. School starts in our area in 2 weeks, and it seems like that ushers in fall for us.

I love looking at what we might be wearing, so here is a sneak peek at some fall pieces and the trends I see coming.

FALL 2019 TRENDS PREVIEW:

1. Blazers- I did some in-store shopping last week, and I saw a lot of blazers. While they are a classic piece, they are trending for fall.

2. Camo print- This has been popular for several years, and it’s not going anywhere this fall.

3. High boots- High boots are back for fall! Ankle boots have been trending for several years (and they’re still in style), but the classic knee-high boot is having a moment this fall.

7. Bright Colors- I’m excited about this trend! I need some color in fall and winter so I’ll be adding color to my wardrobe.

BONUS: Jewelry trends

I’m still not sure what we will be wearing this fall. It looks like acrylics are still popular. Chain links necklaces and bracelets are trending.

Like the clothing trends leaning toward the classics, so is the jewelry. Pearls are trending and cameo pieces like these earrings below.

What do you think about the fall trends?

    Teresa

  2. Thank you for sharing upcoming Fall trends. I am excited to wear brighter colors and my high knee boots!
Peace & Joy to you, Tina

  3. I’m liking the fall tends you shared with us. Not sure I’d get a blazer, though. I’m 5’2” and petite…blazers tend to swallow me up. I really love the bright colors for fall, so the yellow coat is a winner. Thanks, Cyndi!

  4. Fun post! While I am not sick of summer, it’s fun to see what’s coming. I always gravitate toward classic pieces so this will be a good year for me!

Thank you also for the BFTH. Succint, yet impactful!!

  5. Thank you for your recommendations. Just ordered the coat!
Have fun in Charleston….my favorite place!

  6. Love seeing all the Fall trends. I am loving the cut and style of your hair. Can you provide some details on how to achieve this look.

  7. Great post. I LOVE FALL and always look forward to it, but I like to enjoy summer in August and I think the back to school stuff really comes too early these days. But in NW Oregon the schools don’t start until the day after Labor Day, so lots of summer days left. I do get excited to wear booties and cardigan’s. I bought one of the ones you wore in the dressing room try on session. I was so shocked my size was left as I was not an early shopper with the credit card. It fits perfect and love it. Its so soft.

  8. Thank you for the fall update! I live in New Hampshire and love the changes of the seasons. I love your belt in the pic with the fleece top!
    Best,
    Robin

  9. Ohhh, fall! It’s my favourite time of year. I like all these trends. I think I need to add a bright coloured coat to my wardrobe. Perhaps royal blue or red. 🤔
I love kayaking! Have fun today!

  10. Thanks for the list of the upcoming fall trends. While its still too hot here to even think about fall, as we have been under heat advisories all week, I know it will be here before we know it. Our schools don’t go back here until after Labour Day weekend so still a good month or more to go…. Our warm weather also seems to stay lately well into October so the transition pieces peek my interest these days. Hope you are having a fun vacation.

  11. I love all of these trends and will be looking to add some plaid to my wardrobe this Fall! I just love Fall in Virginia, it’s my favorite time of the year!

  12. I am thrilled that camo is still around. The plaids don’t fit my personality. Knowing that various styles of jeans are in since all of us have different styles that look best on us. And like you, I like some bright and bold colors for Fall. Have a fabulous day!

  13. I love the Fall trends! Fall is my favorite season, so it’s fun to start looking at what is “in”. So glad tall boots are back and even happier that I still have 2 pair that I love wearing!

  14. Love plsid and will definitely be looking for some plaid blazers for fall. I would also like to update my snakeskin pumps that I have had for 10 years – luckily there is a lot to choose from.

  15. Love seeing some of the fall trends but honestly it’s just too early for me. In South Texas we don’t see fall weather until maybe October so if I bought anything now it would sit in my closet for months. But I did like your BFTH today and enjoy your kayaking trip!

  16. It has been so frustrating to see something from Nordstrom’s anniversary sale and have it sold out. I’m talking about even in the beginning. Please relay the message to them. I do love what I’ve been able to buy.

    Thanks!

  17. Love it! I love classics and then spicing them up with shoes/boots and accessories, etc…

Wonderful reminder on BFTH…. even though we don’t like it at the time, there’s no better teacher than the Holy Spirit through our trials.

    Blessings!

  18. Thank you for BFTH today – We’re in a season of trials it feels and this was much needed.
I love boot cut jeans – I just think they are so flattering on almost every body type – glad they’re “in” again :). That being said, what size in the Kut from the Kloth bootcut jeans do you have on in the dressing room pic. I typically wear a 4 in that brand, as I see you do as well, but didn’t want to assume the bootcut were the same.
I too love color in winter, especially once we get past Christmas. All the black and gray starts to feel heavy.
