Striped Cami: Wear Now And Later

Happy hump day! The weather is hot here in Kentucky, but before you know it, crisp fall weather will be here. I like to have pieces in my closet I can wear now and later.

This striped cami is perfect for hot weather but will easily transition into fall and cooler weather.

I kept my jewelry simple with some tassel earrings from Amazon and some waterproof bangle bracelets from Accessory Concierge.

I have carried this mini rattan bag all summer when I didn’t want to lug around a big handbag.

I’m wearing a black bralette from American Eagle with this cami. I think bralettes are more comfortable than a strapless bra. The one I’m wearing is no longer available, but this one is very similar.

As we transition to fall, I’ll add a cardigan to this striped cami. I fell in love with this chartreuse cardigan, and I can’t wait to wear it.

I traded my sandals for open-toe booties from Sole Society.

This black handbag will be perfect for fall and winter.

  1. Hello, Cyndi!
Thank you sharing, but $48 for a cami like that!
And $78 for a common cardigan! I don’t think so!!
I have purchased better quality and and much nicer looking for less.

    1. I appreciate your input Raquel. I try to give ideas for outfits and no one ever has to purchase them.
Many of my readers love Evereve and do purchase their clothes. Everyone has different budgets and different tastes.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  2. Love transition pieces as our falls seem to be warmer every year. A beautiful color cardigan:) my rattan earrings and handbag were by far my best investment pieces this summer I’ve used them both daily.
    Blessings ❤️

  3. I love both of these outfits!!! I’m fair, but I always get compliments when I wear chartreuse. It’s one of my favorite colors. The cami is beautiful and I love that you are wearing a bralette. I am finding them to be a good solution for strappy tops and dresses when I don’t want to wear a strapless bra. I found some bras at Victoria’s Secret that have the bralette look but offer more support.

Thank you for including a mix of price ranges on your blog. Even though this outfit is more expensive, it can be an inspiration for something that could be created from another retailer. Plus, the pieces may eventually go on sale!

    1. You look wonderful in chartreuse! It’s not a color I can pull off. The multi coloured cami is super cute & versatile. Anything I buy now has to take me into fall so I’m picking carefully.
Thanks for the tip on wearing a bralette. I hate strapless bras. Ugh! Terribly uncomfortable! So, I’ve been avoiding all those cute dresses with spaghetti straps. Not anymore! 😀

  4. I really enjoy your spiritual quotes and inspiring messages Cindy. You really stand out as a beautiful soul inside and out! I also look forward to your beautiful photo layouts and tutorials on clothes and beauty. You have excellent taste and have given me “new eyes” for putting myself together. And I agree that the Now and later concept is extra helpful.
This was a great fresh look, beautiful colors!

  5. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE!! I really like the “Now and Later” concept of this post. If you could do more of this type of post, I would be so 😁. I may need that cardigan!

  6. Great post! I try to have about 1/2 my wardrobe that can transition. I love both these looks on you. While I know I will miss the summer, I can hardly wait for all the fall fashion! 🙂

  7. Great post! Love the now and later! I have the rattan purse! I love it, and I use it way more than I thought I would! BFTH so true!

  8. Love the way you styled this Cami two way, taking it into fall. I need some more cami’s and this may be the time to buy them on sale. Love these two colors. Thanks for the tip on wearing a bralette.

    1. The cami is cute but not with bra or “bralette” straps showing!! So not right! I hope women will stick with the strapless bra with any spaghetti strap top!

      1. I am inclined to agree with Karen on this one. I think the straps look taboo. Less than classy. This is another trend I will pass on. Thanks!

  9. Love this outfit on you! I love those colors on you, too! My fair complexion could not pull it off, but I love it.
(Gives me ideas on how to replicate, as always.)

    Have a great Wednesday!

  10. These colors are spectacular!!! I would have to rate this as one of my top 5 looks you have styled !! I think it would be great to transition into spring as well with white jeans. Love it!!

  11. You look darling as always! Love both ways you styled the cami and Kut from Kloth are one of my favorite brands! God Bless you for all you do.

  12. I love the way you styled that chartreuse cardigan! It’s adorable, and doesn’t swallow you like some longer cardigans can. I wear cardigans all summer because our office is so cold, so I’ll be checking that one out. Thanks Cyndi!

    1. I am on the same page as you ladies! Way too expensive for a simple cami and cardigan you can easily find at Walmart for much less. Do love the look, but will never be a fan of torn hems on jeans. Looks like a dog chewed them, but simply my opinion😂😂😂.
