How To Style Relaxed Curls

Hi ladies! Today I am sharing a video (what??) showing how I style my relaxed curls. I did this video with my iPhone, so it’s not the best quality, but it does get the job done.

I’m going to keep today’s post short because I explain everything in the video. I will link the products I used in my hair below. Also, I did speed it up instead of watching me curl my whole head (boring). I was talking, but I wasn’t saying anything that important. Haha!!

I’m using the Oribe Texturing Spray, Kenra Hairspray and the Hot Tools Professional 24k Gold Extra-Long Barrel Curling Iron/Wand (1 1/2 inch barrel).

Okay, let me know if you have any questions!!

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and, Instagram.

Boy, have I learned this the hard way! It’s so easy to snap back when someone says something mean, or someone hurts your feelings. But I’ve learned it’s best to take a breather, rest on it for 24 hours. Let our words be gracious even when someone else’s words are not.

Have a blessed day!

  1. I can’t believe how expensive that Oribe Texturizing Spray is. Good heavens! It must be made from 24k gold. I’m guessing it works wonders with hard to hold hair!

  2. Do you still use hair extensions etc? Between menopause and thyroid issues I have lost so much hair and I’m looking for help.

    Thank you with blessings,
    Lesley Schlegel

  3. Good video! It’s so much better to watch someone do hair than just read how she does it.

You may realize, but if you turned your phone horizontal, it would fill the video feed instead of having the dark sides. I’m sure you’re more techie than I, so you probably did that for a reason.

Pretty hair on a pretty lady with a beautiful heart!

  4. Love your video! I remember your video from about six years ago called
How I Style My Bangs, when your hair was shorter. Still use your techniques from that one!
    You rock!

  5. Thanks for the great video.
    Love your hair & makeup.
Do you still have your hair extensions?
Also what makeup foundation do you use?
    Thanks!
    Blessings 😍

  6. Thanks for sharing this video, Cyndi! I love the idea of using a big velcro roller for more lift on the crown of your hair. Will have to try! My hair is almost as long as yours now, so I can style my hair this way! 🙂

  7. You did a great job with the video, thanks for sharing! Would love to know what products you use, if any, before blow drying your hair too.

  8. Hi Cyndi ~ do many more videos!!
Hair.. make up and then which shoes
And or purse you use with your outfits
And why. You could do one about restaurants
You eat at or your favorite places in town LOL!!
    We would watch!! Thanks!

  9. Love love 💕 the video but can you show how you blow dry bangs. I have same bangs and they never come out the same must be doing something wrong

  10. I love how wavy your hair looks full of volume. Omg, when I saw you tease your hair it brought me back to the eighties!😂😂😂. It sure does help with volume though. Looks great.

  11. I use the Oribe and love it! Unfortunately, I just got my hair cut and it is too short for this look, but I do use a curl enhancer and scrunch like crazy. It gives me a soft curly look for a change from straight.
I’m with the other ladies and think a fashion shoot video would be fun. Bloopers and all! Lol

  12. Loved the video as I am such a visual and tactile learner! My hair is only to my shoulders but I think I could use this iron on it now. I am delighted that you and Jo Lynn will do the Friday Now and Later confab. I was so bummed out when I heard you weren’t doing the 21 days of Fall thing.

  13. Great job on the video. Very helpful. I am going to invest in the Orbe texturizer, sound like a product that would help me with volume and I’ve been looking for a new dry shampoo.

Thanks for always listening to your readers. Great BFTH today.

  14. Thanks for the video Cyndi. I was wondering about how to get and keep that bottom piece so straight 🤔. I’d love to see you do some fashion videos too. I could hear you talk all day. Love that southern accent:) also do you still have your extensions?
    Blessings ❤️

    1. I think a fashion shoot video would be fun, too. Even with bloopers, lol
Unfortunately, my hair is not long enough to curl in this way but I do use scrunch to get the wavy look. Oribe is my favourite product.

  15. I hope you do more videos! One of a photo shoot would be fun. Thanks for the tips. I quit using an electric curling iron recently and only use the large rollers. I was very pleased with the results and I think I will try Oribe to help even more.

  16. You are so darling. I love your videos because I get to hear your sweet voice!

I do have a question. Can you tell us more about the velcro roller you use on the crown? (What size, where to buy, etc.)

    Thanks, dear one!

  17. Love the tutorial. I was wondering if you still have your hair extensions and how they have worked for you.
    Have a blessed day.

  18. Great tutorial!! That product brand Oribe I first saw on the Oprah show years ago. It was pronounced Ore-eh-bay! Looking forward to The now and later posts!!

  19. Thank you so much for the video. I am going to my natural color and my hair is short right now until it’s grown out but will refer to this video when I’m ready. Well done!
