Gibson City Safari Collection in Here!

Hey sweet friends! Today I’ve got several outfits from the Gibson City Safari Collection to share with you. All of these pieces can be worn now but can easily transition into fall.

First up I’m styling a smocked maxi dress in the wildflower pattern. High necks are trending for fall, and I love the look. Smocked accents at the neck and waist help bring a little shape to this maxi dress.

Next, I’m styling a black jaguar print dress. This dress is lightweight and has a smocked ruffled high neck and a waist-cinching tie. The dress is bra-friendly.

I’m in love with all the midi style skirts and dresses this year and this skirt does not disappoint. This would be a great workwear skirt and it comes in black too. I paired it with a split neck lace trim top that is so pretty and feminine.

Lastly, this tank is a perfect addition to your wardrobe. Add a leather jacket or cardigan when the weather turns cool. It comes in several patterns including a golden jaguar.

  1. Cyndi, thank you for showing us all sorts of options! It’s fun to see what designers put out there and especially seeing these outfits on someone we love is even more fun! Even when something isn’t my style or is something I wouldn’t wear (because of personal preference or my body type), I appreciate you modeling it for us anyway. You are a blessing to me and many others, I’m sure. <3

  2. I love the necklines! Some of my own favorite shirts have the smocked necklines. My favorite ensemble is the midi length with the split neck blouse.
    You are beautiful as always!

  3. You are beautiful ! Inside and out. And everything, everything you have posted was so true. I’m 51 and I have been trying to decide on bangs or no bangs. I believe you have answered that question.

    Thanks so much !

  4. I think the third pic in the maxi dress looks fine, maybe the way you’re standing or the wind was blowing in the first two pics made those look different. A good option for those ladies looking for a dress with short sleeves rather than sleeveless. Nice post, I will now go look at the rest of this line because of your post!

  5. The colors in this line are gorgeous but I’m not especially a fan of the styles. Maybe that’s because these styles take us back to years gone by and we’re still stuck on shorter skirts, lower necklines and skinny jeans! Change is hard! LOL I think you look beautiful in all of them but I especially like the tank and skinny jeans together. I really needed the BFTH today! Be blessed to Cyndi!

  6. Hi, Cyndi! These are all so pretty. Do you think the patterned skirt and solid shirt combo are dressy enough to wear to a wedding? Thanks for any help you can give me!

    1. Yes I think so and if you wanted to wear the tank top that matched it, it would look more like a dress. Either way I think it’s a pretty option.

    2. I think the skirt in black with the blouse in the light terracota or rumba color would be beautiful for a wedding. Just my opinion, but the skirt in black is also beautiful and the blouse in the solid colors is very pretty too. The black blouse would be pretty with the black skirt too, especially with the right accessories.

  7. I totally agree with some of the comments. In my opinion, the maxi dress is too over powering as well as the longer skirt. The leopard shorter dress is a better fit for you. You didn’t look comfortable in them. Though you rocked the cami and jeans.

  8. You are darling but today’s clothes are ghastly (except the jeans and top). I look to you for inspiration but this post has dimmed your credibility a bit. Sorry!

    1. Oh my. Cyndi does an excellent job of showing a wide variety of styles, colors, and price points in her daily posts. I am certain she does not expect that every reader will like every outfit. Using harsh words is not necessary if you do not happen to care for an outfit or two. I like Proverbs 10:19 from today’s Beauty for the Heart.

  9. The maxi dress seems to busy & looks like it swallowed you. Not a fan of the skit (very matronly looking) the other pieces are cute.

  10. I read recently that those that get up at 5:00 are more productive. I wonder if that because you have more hours in the day or your brain functions better. 5am is nice in the summer – cooler mornings to work out but in the winter it still dark and cold.
I didn’t know high necks were trending. Love that look!

  11. I like everything but the maxi dress. It seems to overwhelm you. I think its bulk, the high neck, along with the busy floral is just TOO much. But that’s just me…
The jaguar print dress and the sleeveless top are my favorites on you!

  12. Wow! I love all these outfits! I am also a huge fan of the high neck and am going to invest in a few new mock turtlenecks for fall. Did you try the tank and skirt together? Or would that be too much? I’m thinking it might look like a dress 🙂

  13. Sorry, but For some reason I didn’t find that any of these outfits did you justice. The last top with jeans did look more like you. I liked that look.

    1. I agree with Linda. I had also seen the entire line on another blog and I don’t think that most of those pieces are very attractive. It has nothing to do with you. I don’t think that this line will be flattering on most people.

  14. Wow 5 am yikes!! I’m not a morning person so anything before 7-730I’m not alive yet lol( I’m a night person and I’m up until at least 11 pm at night)beautiful colors and I love the smocked high necks:) I just bought a few tops with that as transition pieces.
    Blessings ❤️

  15. Love the smocked maxi dress and it come in petite! I think it would be nice to wear on my upcoming cruise in Oct 😀
