Save vs. Splurge – Fall Shoes

Hi ladies! Yesterday we looked at some layering pieces for the upcoming fall season, and today we’re looking at fall shoes. Shoes are my very favorite accessory to add to my outfits. Oh, how I love shoes!

If you want to purchase some shoes for fall, then today’s post is for you and you don’t have to break your budget. You can be on trend without spending a lot of money by grabbing some of the SAVE shoes.

I admit I tend to splurge a bit when it comes to my shoes, but either way, I think all of these shoes are perfect for fall.

Here are the SAVE SHOES. Click on the picture, and it will take you to the website.

Here are the SPLURGE SHOES. Click on the picture, and it will take you to the website.

One of the hottest trends for fall is supposed to be the square-toe silhouette.

How about swapping your pointed-toe pumps for a square-toe version instead?

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and, Instagram.

Beauty for the Heart~~How is your week going? No matter what kind of week you have had, cling to His word because that’s where you will find hope, and truth and see that God is good.

  • For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You. Psalm 86:5
  • O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting. 1 Chronicles 16:34
  • O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Psalm 34:8
  • For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 100:5

Have a blessed day!

  1. Cyndi, I’m so excited!! Reading your love for animal prints, I had the courage to try on a pair I would’ve passed by previously. I think I scored big time at DSW recently. Found a pair of leopard print pumps, dark wood square trendy heel. SO comfy and $39! Woohoo for me!😊

  2. Great post Cyndi. I love shoes too… and bags 😉 Thx for all the work you put into your posts. Hope you get to sit with Traci on her front porch soon! 😉

  3. I am a shoe girl too! I think they make or break an outfit more than jewelry does. I just bought a snake bootie pair and a snake clutch purse. Also have a snake kimono and love them all. Can’t wait for cooler weather to wear the booties. Thank you for this save and splurge post – please do more of them.+

  4. Yay for snake print! I have a pair of snake print sandals, and a python print silk bomber jacket. I will definitely be adding the snake booties! I’ll have to ease into the square toe…I usually have to let my eye adjust to trends. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t!! 😉

  5. I’m a shoe person myself! Shoes can change the look of any outfit. I bought a couple pairs for fall during the Nordstrom sale. I may have to check out your Target pics in the Save section.

  6. I love the Save versus Splurge posts! I have a pair of square toe shoes that I loved so much that I saved them, hoping the trend would come back around. Woohoo! I like the snake skin print so I’ll be adding a pair of booties this fall. I have narrow feet so I have to try them on.

  7. Love the save post options for trendy changes. Thanks for these great comparisons. Your BFTH was so right on for me today. Thks

  8. Shoes can definitely make an outfit! Love all the shoes, and your save comparisons are so close to the splurge ones. Such great choices Cyndi!!! Thank you for getting us gals looking fashion forward into the fall season.

  9. I think I can get behind the square toe trend, as it would be sooo much more comfortable. I am also on the snake trend and am looking for a pair of kitten heels to replace the ones that I have had for 10 years (who knew!). 🙂

  10. Seems it was only a few years ago that I got rid of my square-toed heels because they were out-of-style, and now they’re back!

  11. I love ❤️ these posts.. and enjoy the save options especially if a trend. I’ve already picked up some fall styles like leopard print mules and I’m onboard with the square toe.. so long pointy toe:) thanks for these suggestions.
    Blessings ❤️

  12. Being somewhat a shoeoholic myself 👠👡👢👟 I too get pretty excited shoe shopping. Generally I’m game to try the trends (this is where I tend to spend less) as they are, well, trends. That said, I do lean towards a pointy toe. Largely because of my petite frame and lack of height. (5′)
😃 Of course, it only makes sense to check out the handbags when you’re in the area. 👝👛👜🎒 And, well, if there happen to be other accessories that catch my eye…yeah. 😁

  13. I’m with you on the snake print, and I’m still loving the leopard as well. Square toes…that really depends on the shoe. I’ll never say never to anything. The square toed ones are usually far more comfortable than the pointy ones so that’s a plus.
I like all the options, both the save an splurge. I’m not a shoe snob – my main requirement is that they be comfortable or they will sit unworn in my closet.

  14. Love this post and shoes! This season I will definitely buy some snake print and some wedge sneakers. I actually have a pair of snake print pumps from years ago when I was still working and I could never let them go; just wish I had somewhere to wear them. Maybe I will try them with jeans? Thanks for a fun post and have a wonderful day.

  15. First, I want to let you know that I just love following your posts!

Honestly, I prefer all of the “save ” options to the splurge! Good job!
Thank you so much for sharing your style with us.

  16. I like the idea of square toe…..i’m a solid 9.5 or 10 so pointed toes always make me feel like a water ski so i like the idea of “cutting” off some of the length per say.

  17. I have almost rectangular feet so the pointy toe shoe has rarely been my friend. I think the square toe will work for some and not work for others but I’m excited to see a few options other than pointy toes for dressier shoes (well, options that don’t look like my grandma wore them!).
