Camo Trend: Wear Now and Later

Today I’m teaming up with Jo-Lynne Shane to share Fall Trends: Now & Later! This September, we’re trying something new! We will each style a fall trend two ways every Friday during September, and this week we’re styling the camo trend for now and later.

The camo trend is going strong, and you can wear camo shirts, jackets, shoes, and pants. I’m styling camo pants from LOFT.

In some ways, camo is a neutral so you can wear it with a lot of different colors. I love to wear camo with pink, so I added pink slides to my outfit. These slides are from Target and a great option for early fall.

Since we still have warm weather, I added a short sleeve t-shirt. This t-shirt has a relaxed silhouette and short sleeves that reach the elbow. It’s a lightweight rib-knit fabric. The below-waist cut makes this t-shirt perfect for wearing tucked or untucked.

I added some fun bracelets to my outfit, and I’m carrying my rattan handbag. This outfit would be perfect for a warm day in September!

Before we know it, the weather will turn cool, and we’ll be wearing sweaters. I love a chunky sweater, and this cream sweater will feel good on a cold fall day.

If you don’t mind a faux handbag, this olive satchel is cute for fall. It has multiple interior pockets for keeping your things organized and a pocket for your phone.

Off-white is another one of my favorite colors to add to camo, so this sweater was an easy option for me.

My boots are from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and I’m wearing the foxy suede color. Sizes are gone in that color, but there is a tortilla suede that is a pretty fall color. Also for a less expensive option, try these booties from Target.

  1. I like all of this. I always have trouble finding a plain white tee that isn’t too low cut for work. I will check this one out.

  2. Thanks for the outfit inspiration, Cyndi! I have these pants and have wanted some ideas of different ways to wear them on warmer days and cooler days. :0) I’m purchasing that cozy cream sweater!

  3. I’m excited about these Friday posts you and Jo-Lynne will be doing. I love what you’ve styled today and how a few changes transition the outfit. We have been busy all day preparing for hurricane Dorian which is expected to hit us tomorrow afternoon as a category 2.. We had hurricane Juan in 2003 and it hit us pretty hard it was also a 2… still praying for those that have been hit terribly hard already.
    Blessings

  4. I’m glad that you and Jo-Lynne are doing Friday collabs:) I love seeing the different options you both came up with for camo. I’m having fun making my camo outfits look girly since all my Army uniforms wouldn’t allow me to do so! I’m excited to hear about your micro needling! My cousin is an all natural doctor in Phoenix and does these procedures so I’m curious to hear your opinions and results!

  5. I can’t wait to hear all about the micro needling… before and after shots would be great…(should you be so brave). LOL.

As always…thank you for sharing so much of ‘your life’. We all appreciate what you do!

    Have a blessed day.🌸

  6. I love camo! Bought a pair of pants last year and wear them often. I never thought of them as a neutral until you mentioned it!

Appreciate your BFTH each day as well. Controlling the tongue is a never ending battle.

  7. BFTH is so good — I don’t need to offer my opinion or comment on everything that is said! Lord, help me to speak Your words….and to exercise self-control!
I love the camo pants; appreciate both options, one for now and one for later! Thanks for all you do, Cyndi….I read your posts sometimes and laugh out loud because I’m thinking the same thing! I hope you don’t scare Baby Claire either!! Ha….have a great day!

  8. Camo is a fun option. I enjoy seeing some good ideas on how to wear this new neutral.
Please do share the micro needling experience. I have been on the fence with this one! Ha!

  9. Love this sweater. I am ordering it. I am not a camo fan, but I think this sweater will work with black, jeans, olive skinnies… the possibilities are endless. And the price is great! Thanks for the blog today.
