Poncho Trend For Fall 2019

This post is sponsored by Lord + Taylor and ShopStyle. Thank you for supporting Cyndi Spivey sponsors.

Hi ladies! I hope you had a great weekend and you’re ready for a new week. It’s hard to believe this is the last full week of September.

Today I’m sharing a poncho from Lord + Taylor, and it’s just in time to catch their biggest sale of the season. You can mix and match and save up to an extra 40% off this season’s must-have styles through Tuesday, September 24th.

Poncho Trend For Fall 2019

Ponchos and capes are one of the on-trend looks for fall. I love the way they look chic with little effort. This poncho has a relaxed-fit, ribbed sleeves, front slip pockets, and an asymmetric hemline.

Ponchos are also a great travel item as they can be your blanket and a versatile topper in all kinds of weather.

Here is the back view of the poncho and also these design lab skinny jeans. These jeans are a mid-rise, and I’m wearing the Donna color. They are a great price point for jeans!

I added these Toms booties that are a slip-on style, and they have OrthoLite Eco X40 insole for comfort. If you need a comfortable bootie, these are for you!

I love to have at least one leather handbag for the season, and I carry a crossbody bag all the time. They’re so convenient when you’re running errands. This fossil crossbody bag comes in brown and black.

I’m also wearing a magnetic bracelet that has a touch of snakeskin print. A good option if you want to add a small amount of snakeskin to your fall wardrobe.

This black poncho will be on constant rotation this fall and perfect for a trip to the pumpkin patch. If you want to look trendy, grab yourself a chic poncho!

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and, Instagram.

Beauty for the Heart~~Isaiah 43:18  says, Do not remember the former things, Or ponder the things of the past.”

Do you ever dwell on past mistakes or past hurts? I know I do at times. I can let them be my focus if I’m not careful. God reminds us in Isaiah 43 to not spend a great deal of time looking back. Learn from your past but then move on. God has something new He wants to do (Isaiah 43:19).

Today is a new day! Rejoice in His grace and mercy!

Have a blessed day!

  1. I just wish the ponchos would be longer in the back to cover the back end. Most of the ones I’ve seen are long in front & short in back.

    1. Me too, although I noticed the model at 5’10”, much taller than Cyndi, and her rear is fully covered by the poncho and Cyndi’s is not. Seems not to make sense. Lol.

  2. Do you wear something underneath that? Like in case you go into a really warm place and need to remove it, or do you just wear it like a sweater, and keep it on no matter what the inside temp is?

  3. So glad to see ponchos will be in style again this season as I bought a few last year but I do like that this one is not a one size fits all since I’m petite and sometimes ponchos can be too long on me. Also love those cute jeans.

  4. Good morning. I love the poncho. When I was a little girl, long ago, I remember wearing ponchos. My aunt crochet me one. That brings me down memory lane.

  5. What a great look for fall/winter, and I’ve had my eye on that Fossil purse for over a year. I just don’t switch out purses enough to justify the price for something I may not use – but I do love it – and it comes in a smaller size too. Great looking outfit and looks comfy too – win-win to me.

  6. I started reading your blog for the fashion tips but now I find myself reading it for the bible scripture … it’s as though you are talking to me.

Thank you and have a great day.

  7. Hey Cyndi I didn’t receive this post in my inbox today. I only came across it by going back to Saturday’s post and scrolling down to the bottom. So I’m not sure if you didn’t send it yet or not? Any way… love the whole look and I’ll be checking this cape out, I’m a sucker for capes.
    Blessings
    Karen

    1. Look in your “Junk Email,” as that is where I find mine occasionally. I thought I would share that, as Cyndi only answers occasionally.
