Friday Fall Fashion-What I’m Wearing Plus More

Hi ladies! I have classes all day today at my conference here in Austin, Texas. It’s been a great conference! My sister is here too, and I’ve got to spend some time with her. We have to travel to Texas to see each other!

Today I’m sharing some fall fashion with you. It’s what I’ve been wearing lately plus a try-on haul at Target. Target always has some cute clothes!

I’m wearing my moto jacket from Amazon. See my whole outfit HERE. Traci is wearing this cami from Macy’s (I styled it here, and I told her to get one) and this cardigan. She looked so cute!

The night before we left for Austin, we went to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. Our friends were singing outside on the patio, and I wore this off the shoulder top from Evereve (it’s on sale). It was a fairly mild night, but I did take a light jacket.

I paired the top with American Eagle jeans and a pair of heels from Target.

The ruffled sleeve hemline on the top is so cute!

Earlier in the week, I popped into Target. First up is this colorful striped sweater. I love pink and red!

Striped Sweater (I’m wearing a small)

If a turtleneck is not your thing, this is a v-neck sweater with black and white stripes.

This teddy coat my favorite thing I tried on! It’s soft and so warm. I’m wearing a small. They didn’t have an XS, so I ordered it online.

If you like a tunic style sweater, this is a nice option. It comes in this teal and brown color.

I snapped a picture of what I was actually wearing the day I went shopping.

Well, that’s a wrap! We are flying home in the morning, it’s been a quick trip.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~Being in a hurry. Getting to the next thing without fully entering the thing in front of me. I cannot think of a single advantage I’ve ever gained from being in a hurry. But a thousand broken and missed things, tens of thousands, lie in the wake of all the rushing…. Through all that haste, I thought I was making up time. It turns out I was throwing it away.” -Ann Voskamp

This weekend, let’s slow down and enjoy some of the simple things in life! Savor those quiet moments, hug someone a little tighter, write a thank you note, live each moment trusting in God.

Have a blessed day!

  1. I hope your conference was a success! How exciting that you got to spend some time with your sister! I have three sisters and would be lost without them. Love the outfits!!!

  2. You are so cute…in everything!
I have a favor to ask of your readers and you-I’m a teacher and we had parent/teacher conferences today. One of my prior students and her mom were taking a 5-day girl trip to NYC and her younger brother and dad were going to spend today together, since he didn’t have school. He went to wake his dad, who was unresponsive. This 5th grade boy who is a little genius, but struggles socially, couldn’t wake his 50 yo daddy up, so he called a friend. Paramedics arrived while the friend kept the boy in his room-his daddy didn’t make it. We are trying to keep the info quiet in our little piece of the world, so the son doesn’t find out before his mom can give him the news herself. Please pray for this family today and in the days ahead…I can’t quit crying…

  3. Hi Cyndi,
It’s nice to see you styling some Target (we like to say “Tarjay” :-)) and Amazon items. It seems for awhile everything you styled was from Nordstrom or Loft, while I do like their clothes, they are a splurge and not my everyday choice, so it’s nice to see a mix of price points. However, Between living in San Diego and being in my “power surge” years, I don’t wear pullover sweater very much these days; I need layers I can yank off at a moment’s notice, if you know what I mean.
    Have a blessed weekend.

  4. I loved all of this post and all the outfits!! The items from target show us that we don’t need to always or ever spend a fortune to look good. So glad you’ve been able to spend time with your sister (cute pic). Thanks for the BFTH . We are having a family weekend as we celebrate our sons birthday tomorrow and begin with a big family turkey dinner tonight. I needed to be reminded to slow down and enjoy:)
    Blessings

  5. What a delightful post! I don’t recall how I came upon your blog but I am happy that i did! Fun stuff! Sisters are amazing and I am glad you were able to see yours!

  6. I hope you and your sis had a great time in Austin! It’s a great place…I went to college there, and my sis lives there and works at UT, so I get to visit a lot. Thanks so much for all the styling tips; between you and JoLynne, I have much more confidence when it comes to putting things together.
I also got into the capsule wardrobe thing, and those concepts are super-helpful.
Do you ever venture farther than Kentucky make a speaking appearance/ (I’m in Houston.)

  7. I’m a petite Would you please post things that are available for us petite people. Regular is way too long in the sleeves especially the zippers on the sleeves
    Thank you! Enjoy your posts

  8. You and Traci are such beautiful women from the inside out! And boy do y’all favor one another. I love all of the sweaters you tried on at Target. If i needed one, that is where I would be shopping. Enjoy the day and safe travels home tomorrow, to you and Traci!

  9. Love all your posts today. I ordered the Target black and white sweater and the leopard belt from Amazon. I see you add the belt in so many of your posts and it adds such a nice touch. Been holding off in getting one but decided to jump aboard.
Thanks for BFTH today. Spot on.

  10. How fun to spend time with you sis in Austin!! Love the outfits you shared. Ordered the Target black and white sweater and the leopard belt from Amazon. You are so helpful in getting my winter wardrobe in style as I bring out my winter clothes today.

    Love the BFTH.

  11. I loved the Beauty for the Heart message today, and I copied it into my prayer journal. Sure wish I had this gold nugget when I was working, but its message still hit me in a profound way. Thanks for sharing!

  14. Hi. Love your outfits! I want to check out Traci’s striped cardigan, but the link takes me to your moto jacket on Amazon. Where can I find the cardigan? Love it!

  15. Cute outfits! The link is not correct for the sweater your sister is wearing (it links to your jacket instead). Could I get the link to that cute sweater? THANK YOU!
