3 Ways to Wear a Black Midi Dress

Happy Monday, ladies! Today I’m sharing 3 Ways to Wear a Black Midi Dress. The midi dress is definitely having a moment in the fashion world, and I wore this one to church.

First up, if you still have warm weather, you can wear the dress alone with a cute pair of heels. It has a mock neck and side ruching, which is figure-flattering.

(Ignore my mums, I know they’re looking bad, I have had them for a while, and I’m replacing them this week!)

Next, I added a denim jacket with tan booties. This is an easy look on-trend look.

Lastly, I added a moto jacket and leopard block heels. I love a moto jacket, and I have several that I’ve been wearing this fall.

  1. I love your blog. Cute outfits today. But I have a question; when wearing a midi dress like this in Ohio on a chilly day, would you wear hose so your legs don’t get cold? I’m wondering if nude pantyhose are a thing of the past as opaque leggings have taken over. I’m talking about the look with the booties. Thanks for your reply

    1. I would not wear pantyhose. They are not out of style if you feel like you absolutely need them. But if I’m going to wear anything it would be black tights with a black bootie or a tall boot would also work and then you wouldn’t have to wear tights.

  2. Hi Cyndi, You always look absolutely gorgeous and your hair is beautiful. My question regarding your hair is, is your hair layered and do you have some short layers in the top to add volume?
Hope you’re having a blessed day.

  3. Ok, I’m curious so I’m going to ask…why do you style some outfits with handbags and others without? I would’ve liked to see what bags you would have chosen for each version of this outfit.

    1. Oh Brenda, I apologize, I carried a black crossbody bag with this outfit The reason I don’t always have my handbag is I sometimes forget to grab it and then we snap the pictures.
      No real rhyme or reason.

  4. Thank you for the BFTH today. I am back to teaching after a week long fall break and I definitely needed to hear those words from God. Your granddaughter is adorable. Have a great week!

  5. Are you still using sunless tanner into fall like this with these dresses. I’ve been wondering if I should or not I don’t want to look orange compared to everyone else, but otherwise I’m so pale.

  6. Cyndi, I love all three looks! And those leopard print shoes are fabulous! Yes, the best accessory is your precious granddaughter. That’s a great picture of you with your dad and his wife. I know that you and Traci love seeing him happy and with a companion that loves and cares for him. Have a great day!

    1. Happy Belated Anniversary girl! Love the pic of you and Wayne and of course the one with your cute Dad,Janet and baby girl! 🥰
You look great in that midi dress!
