Casual Holiday Outfit

Thank you to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post.

It’s no secret I love shopping at Nordstrom. They have free shipping and free return shipping, which makes shopping easy. Nordstrom also has The Nordy Club, where they reward you for shopping. Yes, please!

While I love so many brands at Nordstrom, I always find myself shopping the Nordstrom Made brands such as Halogen, Chelsea 28, 1901, Caslon, and BP, to name a few.

Today I’m sharing a casual holiday outfit with a fair isle sweater from 1901 brand. I love the look of this sweater, and the colors make it festive for the holiday season.

I styled the sweater with black pants for a more work-appropriate outfit. These pants have a side zipper and a slimming fit. They are made for all-day comfort.

My black pants are slightly cropped, so I styled them with black booties with a higher shaft.

Red gloves are a great addition to my outfit, and these cashmere gloves from Halogen will definitely keep me warm. They come in several different colors.

BEAUTY FOR THE HEART~~May God give you perspective on things that frustrate you.

May your heart of compassion grow for those who suffer in unimaginable ways.

May you pray as passionately for them as you do yourself.

May God protect you from a small, selfish mindset.

May He fill you up with thanksgiving and joy for the freedoms you enjoy!

May He renew your resolve to be a grateful, humble soul.

And may He use you tomorrow in ways that surprise and bless you. -Susie Larson

    1. Yes my tree has been up since last Tuesday and the inside of the house has been decorated since Nov 12… I like to have as much done by end of November so I can enjoy Christmas.

      1. I love this outfit. Those booties are so cute and sexy at the same time. Sadly, I can’t wear wool. Itch like crazy!

I’m getting my decorations up this weekend and will start then. It’s a lot of work decorating, so I like to enjoy it a bit longer. I’ll also go to the woods to pick up any fallen branches for my outdoor planters. 1 January, it all comes down.

  1. My tree goes up the day after Thanksgiving. Can someone explain to me why trees are popping up in private homes BEFORE Thanksgiving this year??? I’m seeing that all over Facebook. Thanks for all you do, Cyndi!

    1. Sherri, Thanksgiving falls very late in November this year. Many of us are decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving so we have more time to enjoy it. I personally have found the holiday season to be more enjoyable and less stressful when I begin the decorating and planning early. But to each his own! 😊

  2. Cute outfit. I love Thanksgiving, it’s one of my favorite holidays so I don’t put up a Christmas tree until after Thanksgiving, then I give Christmas the whole month of December to celebrate. Just my preference.

      1. Per Merriam-Webster: The definition of Fair Isle means: a style of knitting originating in the Shetland Islands that is characterized by bands of multicolored geometric patterns. The first known use of Fair Isle was in 1851.

Cyndi, LOOOOVE this sweater on you.

      2. I absolutely love a Fair Isle Sweater! I so enjoy sweater weather and relish a cold day here in the Deep South!
Looks so pretty on you Cyndi!
