A Few Of My Favorite Things

Happy Thursday! It’s been a busy few days, and I am ready for the weekend! What about you?

Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite things! These are things that I have used over and over again, and I love them. If you have been around here long, you might have seen some of them before.

I purchased my knife set a few months ago, and I can’t believe how much I have used these knives. I love them, and I don’t know how I lived without sharp knives.

The Dyson hairdryer is a splurge, but it really is a good hairdryer.

We have the Google Smart Speaker in our kitchen and use it to listen to music all the time. The robe is so soft and comfy!

And I love a good cookbook, and Amy Nelson Hannon shares not only recipes, but she has a heart for hospitality.

Okay, almost all of them are pretty self-explanatory. I use both mascaras, one thickens, and the other lengthens.

I use the spiral coil hair ties when I put my hair in a ponytail (I always put my hair in a ponytail when I sleep).

Beauty for The Heart~~One of my favorite things about the Christmas season is waking up early, turning on my Christmas tree, and sitting there for a while enjoying the lights.

I grab my coffee and my Bible and enjoy a few moments of reading and prayer before the busyness of the days begins.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5

Of all my favorite things, Jesus is my very favorite!

Have a blessed day!

  1. I would like to know if you have ever tried Mary Kay Cosmetics? They have the best skincare & cosmetics hands down. I’m a breast cancer survivor, and while I was doing chemotherapy & radiation my skin was literally my enemy. I used several Mary Kay items for my entire body, and it was the only relief that I got. I tried the other things that were recommended by my oncologist, and as pricey as they were they simply didn’t help much at all.
So as a consultant that’s had to take a break because of my cancer, I’d like to know if you have ever tried our products?? I’d love to hear back from you.
And I love all your style!!

  2. I too just love morning with my Christmas tree all lit up and of course, coffee! We have our tree set up on a timer so when I wake up it’s all lit up to greet me! Love your blog.

  3. I love it when you share some of your favorite things with us. I think I may have to try the Uber eye serum by RC. Another blogger brags about it also.
I am also curious the reason you sleep with your hair in a pony tail. I may be missing something by not doing that.

    1. I like to keep my hair back from my face because I put on moisturizer and I don’t wash my hair every day so it keeps it from getting anything on it.

  4. If you haven’t decided on the Sunday dinner yet, I have the perfect recipe for you! Super EASY and amazing! Artichoke Spinach Grilled Chicken Lasagna! Email if you would like the recipe! Everyone in my family loves it…even the picky eaters! Bon Appetit!!

  5. Thanks for sharing your favorite things:) I too put my hair in a pony tail when I sleep. It really does make a difference when I get up the next morning. Also do you use a satin or silk pillow case? Something I’m thinking about changing.
    Blessings

  6. I’ve looked at that belt several times on Amazon. So cute! Wish they still had the black with silver one. Stupid question but how do you ladies measure to get the correct size? Do you measure against your skin at your waist? Put on pants and run the measuring tape through the loops like your belt would go and measure that? My waist is really small compared to my hips so belts aren’t that easy.

  7. Hi Cyndi-I loved this post about your favorite things! One question-why do you put your hair in a ponytail at night?? Thanks!

    1. Sorry-just realized I put 2 question marks on that like I thought it was crazy! I know you have a good reason and perhaps I should start doing the same! Thank you again and enjoy your lunch today-sounds like fun!

    2. I like to keep my hair back from my face because I put on moisturizer and I don’t wash my hair every day so it keeps it from getting anything on it.

  8. Curious about your microneedling experience. I have one scheduled for next week and am a little nervous. Thanks.

    1. I didn’t do it. I had too much going on for any down time so it’s scheduled for January.

I have had it before and it’s a little painful to me but other people don’t seem to think it hurts.

I was only red that night and the next day I was fine.

  9. Hi there! Could you tell me the name of the foundation from It Cosmetics that you use to get that glowing look? Jesus is my favorite too!! Thanks

  10. Thx for sharing your favorites. Just an FYI, your links for the knives take me to the cookbook 😊. Have a blessed day
