Affordable Athletic Wear and a Paleo Recipe

Happy Monday, ladies! We had a whirlwind weekend, but I feel like I’m beginning the week more organized and finally ready to start the New Year (Yes, I realize it’s almost the middle of the month). Haha!

My daughter and I were talking about the New Year and what we were looking for, and we both agreed that we’re looking for affordable athletic wear.

So this week, I’m going to share some different athletic wear outfits and some healthy tips that I do regularly.

First, if you’ve been around here long, you might have heard me share about Sunday dinners that I cook for my family. I try to do healthy meals, and yesterday, I fixed a delicious paleo meal!

The recipe I made is One Pan Steak Bites & Sweet Potatoes, and you can find the recipe HERE. For another vegetable, I roasted broccoli.

I sprinkle Everything But the Bagel seasoning, olive oil, and salt on the broccoli before baking. Bake at 425 for 20-25 minutes.

Now for some athletic wear from Amazon. This outfit is so comfortable!

These leggings are under $30 and come in several different patterns. I’m wearing the Army Green Splinter Camo color.

The black tank also comes in several different colors, and it’s under $15. It has an open back

I always need low cut socks to wear with sneakers, and I like Amazon Essentials low cut socks.

I don’t know about you, but when I have cute workout clothes, it makes me want to work out!

  1. So happy to see you are featuring workout wear! I have a couple of pieces from Amazon and plan to purchase more. I, too, feel like working out if I like my workout clothes! I really like these leggings!

  2. I very much enjoyed the devotional video you did on Sunday. I could relate to the ‘giants’ that I project to be there but really are nothing but fear replacing trust.
Also I loved the holiday too you designed, I got the black velvet and I’ve had so many compliments on it, only wish I had gotten to wear it to more. Beautifully done indeed!! I look forward to what you have planned ahead!

  3. Thanks for the re pie ideas. Look. Rey good, easy and I will give them. Try. Also thanks for sharing Amazon work out wear. Helpful to know which brand is a quality piece before I order.

  4. Your athletic wear is really cute! Like you, I have to wear low cut socks with my athletic sneakers. Have a great day!

  5. This athletic wear looks great on you, I need a little after Holiday will power before I can wear something like this, which is ironic because it’s for working out, haha. The recipe looks great – can’t wait to give it a try. Hugs & blessings on your day!

  6. I too enjoyed your post yesterday it was very uplifting. Us lady’s all face fears in our lives some of us daily. But no fear God is Here. Thank You Cyndi ! for taking the time to let us see you as you talk to us. Very encouraging. Hope you have a blessed week. ❤️

  7. I agree it’s nice to have cute things to work out in . Even though my treadmill and exercise routine is at home( or power walking)I still like to look cute lol.. I’m trying to switch it up a bit this year and try a spin cycle class with my daughter. I hear it’s fast paced but I’m up for the challenge:) Can you share what exercises you do for your arms? They look so nice and toned.
    Blessings

  8. Cyndi, I have struggled with my weight for years. Especially since I have hit the 50’s. I am now starting the weight watchers journey and I pray this will help along with working out. I would like to see clothing for bigger people or where to get them.

  9. Love Amazon for workout clothes but you just have to know what brand works best for you. ( I’ve had to return a few). I’m short so I can’t wear the full length yoga leggings so I order 7/8 or crop/ankle length. The 90 degrees, RBX and yogalicious are some of my favorites and can also be found on Amazon. I totally agree that when you look good you feel good and now that I’ve been doing kickboxing for two years and lost some weight, I enjoy wearing cute, comfortable workout clothes.

  10. I love the camo print! And I find if I’m starting a new exercise routine that one new clothing item to wear while working out is sometimes the incentive I need! Have a happy Monday Cyndi!
