Resort Collection from Hi Sugarplum

Happy Tuesday, ladies! Today I’m sharing some of the resort collection from the Hi Sugarplum and Gibson collaboration.

These pieces are gorgeous and so colorful. I actually talked with Suzie Gibson (the owner of Gibson Look) last week about the collection and how much I loved the rich and colorful fabrics.

This is my favorite resort collection so far!

First up, I’m wearing the Smocked Waist Romper. It comes in 4 different colors. The romper is lined and has a tie closure in the back. It comes in petite and plus sizes too.

Size Tip: runs slightly big, if in between sizes, size down.

Next, they’ve added a denim skirt, which will be perfect to wear all spring and summer. I’m always looking for a cute denim skirt, and I finally found one!

Size Tip: Runs slightly big, but I still ordered my regular size, and it works.

The collection has these pull-on shorts that come in two different patterns. They’re comfortable and have front pockets.

Size Tip: These run true to size.

I love this maxi dress! It’s bra-friendly and comes in 3 different colors. It runs TTS. I’m wearing a slight wedge because it’s too long on me with flats and I’m 5’6″. The dress comes in petite and plus sizes too.

Size Tip: This dress runs TTS.

Lastly, I’m wearing a scoop neck bodysuit with a midi skirt.

Size Tip: The bodysuit runs TTS. The maxi skirt also runs TTS.

I’m not sure why I ordered an XS in the bodysuit. I would prefer a small; it’s a little snug.

  1. Ooh I love the thought of it warming up… Lol I live in Minnesota and it’s cold!! Great outfits and love the colors…
    Thanks for this post!

    Cindy

  2. Love all of these pieces. Headed to Jamaica soon for our daughters wedding. The maxi dress is sold out in my size. Do they restock?

  3. Beautiful outfits! I know in the past some requests have been made for you to either pull your hair to the side or put it up off your neck so we are able to see the entire upper portion of an outfit.
That would be so helpful and be very appreciated particularly with spring/summer looks coming in.
I have surgery scars which I try very hard to conceal as best as possible.
    Thanks ever so much!!! ❤️🥰

  4. LOVE The blue maxi dress!!! Going on vacation to DR next week and would love to purchase it!!
Im in between M and L……. Can you tell me if the fit is “fitted” or a little on the looser side.. Thanks!!!

  5. Love your beautiful style and outfits!! Are you using a self tanner ? Your coloring looks great!! Thank you for your daily posts! I look forward to them 😄

  6. Very cute clothes and all perfect for a southern cruise.. Unfortunately, the blue maxi dress is sold out. The other color too.
I would really like a post of what to wear on a ocean cruise across the pond to Europe. These cruises are usually over 2 weeks and it is overwhelming to pack.

  7. Such cute stuff! Makes me want to go on a cruise,,,like in 5 minutes! It’s cold here, for Houston, though those of you to the north would consider it balmy (40ish).

  8. Did you try the petite in the Gibson romper? Could the waist in that piece be pulled down to be more of a drop waist fit? What bra do you wear with that style or with a strapless? Thank you !

  9. My favorite piece is actually the black shorts. We own a permanent campsite at an RV resort and spend most of the summer out there. I can totally see myself relaxing in those shorts this summer.

  10. Love these bright colors & prints…really cute clothes. I wish I was going somewhere warm soon, but in fact I’m having hip surgery on Thursday. But these longer dresses with a sweater might work as I hobble around afterwards. Lol

    Have an amazing day.

  11. I’ve been watching for this to come out – and specifically how it looks on someone other than Cassie. All the pieces look beautiful! Question – because I found this to be an issue with some of the prior pieces… are the arm holes cut really large?
I have a cruise in February – if I could only get two things, which would you choose?
    Thanks!!

    1. I agree with you on past purchases of this line. Zoom in on the first pic in blue dress and look at the underarm. You can see Cyndi’s bra or slip edge. I’ve taken the side seam in (I sew) on nearly all I’ve purchased as they tend to run large anyway. A short tuck will bring the underarm up. If you don’t sew you need to decide if it’s tailor-worthy. The line is ALWAYS cute. I’ve had a few pieces where quality was off so I returned. It’s hit or miss. I do have some beautiful keepers. Good luck. Blue dress SO cute.

      1. Sharon, I noticed that too. The underarms on the dress are way too low and wide, but it is a beautiful dress, so I would say worth the alterations. It has nothing to do with Cyndi’s arm pits as mentioned, lol, as Cyndi is simply modelling the dress for us, and it helps us to see what alterations may need to be done for a more flattering fit, if we so choose to purchase the dress and other articles of clothing.
