What I’ve Been Wearing Lately

Hi ladies! I hope you’re having a good week. It’s hard to believe tomorrow is the last day of January.

This month has been up and down with the temperatures, which isn’t normal for January. Typically I’m bundled up in sweaters, scarves, gloves, and coats.

But since we’ve had a milder January, I’ve been able to wear a mixture of clothes. Today I’m sharing what I’ve been wearing lately.

First up, we went to our friend’s house last weekend to watch a Kentucky basketball game, and our school colors are blue, so I wore this Michael Kors top. It’s on sale and comes in black and white too.

I purchased this dress from Macy’s last fall, and it’s still one of my favorite dresses! It’s on sale for under $40.

I’m also wearing black boots that I recently purchased, and I love them. They’re the perfect size heel, they hug your leg, so there’s no gaping.

Of course, I wear the blouses that I designed with Gibson Look. I love that it’s unique and very comfortable. It’s also on sale!

To live an altar’d life means we don’t let our flesh rule. We try to live a life that is filled with Jesus.

What does the altar’d life look like? Here are a few ways to live an altar’d life

  • Speak with kindness
  • Don’t gossip
  • Love the unloveable
  • We let go of control

  1. Glad your kitchen redo is about to wind down and I look forward to seeing the results.
I bought the paisley dress and wore it to my daughter’s baby shower earlier this month. I copied your look and received many compliments and I wanted to send you a big Thank You.

  2. I love the look of the crossover sweater, but living in Florida…don’t really need a heavy sweater, but this on looks light weight. Do you mind telling me how heavy it is? It’s the first sweater in quite awhile I’ve had an interest in…

  3. What color blue is the Gibson blouse of yours? Your picture looks bright blue and model on site looks dark blue?

  4. Love the dresses! Unrelated to this post and I may be in the minority but I think your natural hairstyle without the extensions is more becoming on you.

    1. Love love love you’r blog, and always follow. Would love to see your natural hair again. The hair extensions definitely are not flattering looking for our age.:)

  5. Winter in Central California has been mild, need more rain and more chill hours for our farmers. The early rains decked our mountains with lovely snow, so always a treat to see when the fog lifts. Love so many of your graphic tees. I think a runway post would be fun!

  6. Love all of this definitely ordering!! Finally someone post something we can order. All of this is so cute! I like variety and affordable! Thanks so much!!

  7. Our winter so far has been pretty good. We have had snow but nothing major. It’s been cold with a few mild days here and there and by mild I mean 30’s- 40’s lol.. always have yo wear a coat.. today it’s -14 with the windchill.. love all your looks:)

  8. Your hair is getting longer!!! Is it growing or are you getting longer hair extensions? I think it looks really cute!!!

  9. Congratulations on your kitchen update, so exciting! You are so adorable in everything. I too am a pear and fight the shouldn’t wear skinny jeans, but you def pull it off. I was wandering what your undertone is?? You seem to be able to wear most colors beautifully. Also love the Sunday videos you recently done.
    Thanks

  10. January in SoCal can be warm and sunny or rainy, so lately I’ve worn light sweaters with a denim jacket or short sleeved tees with an open I’m with you about looking forward to Spring

  11. Mornin’ Cyndi!

I love the Michael Kors Ruffled top but the link is not working, I looked on Macy’s site and I can’t find this top, hmmmmmmm

    1. All of the looks are so attractive. Our weather in CO has been warm and dry also.

Question: I notice you attached your blog on makeup you use but it’s still the one in speedy mode. You were going to resend in a slowed down version and wondering if I missed that or where can I find it?

      1. I watched it on her YouTube channel and slowed the playback to .25 speed, it helped a lot. You just need to turn off the sound because it makes the music all weird going slower.

  12. Our weather in Knoxville has been like yours – very mild. This has made it difficult to wear winter clothes if I’m honest. Sweaters have been a big no for me this year since the heat at work is way too warm for my liking. I’ve actually had on sleeveless tops a couple of days which was awkward in a way, but necessary due to the heat :). I’m irritable when I’m too warm – LOL – which is bad for me and others .
All these looks are great and perfect for our recent weather.
Excited to see your kitchen – and I agree – I love white in a kitchen!
