A Day in Aruba

Happy Friday, ladies! Well, it has been a week, hasn’t it? I can’t believe everything going on in our world, but I’m trying not to get caught up in the hysteria.

I can’t control the situation, and truthfully, being on a ship really makes you feel like you have no control. The ship is doing everything they can to keep us safe and healthy, and I’m praying we can get home without any incidence.

We had an elegant casual dinner, and I wore this Eliza J Dress. I’m a huge fan of Eliza J dresses, they always fit me well, and they are made to last.

I did have to wear my fashion tape because if not, the v-neck gapes open when you sit down, Fashion tape is a must for me!

We spent Wednesday at Aruba and went to Eagle Beach. It was a beautiful day, and we enjoyed soaking up some sun.

A Day in Aruba

Aruba’s water is so pretty, and I thought of Genesis 1:9, And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

I wore this black coverup dress to the beach, and I think I’m going to order a white one too.

Tuesday evening, we did a sunset cruise on a catamaran, and it was amazing! I wore the white dress from Target, and I forgot to get a picture of me standing up.

A Day in Aruba

Today we are on the ship all day, so I’m hoping to spend some time by the pool, and I’m working out in my room using my Faster Way to Fat Loss app.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~I read this yesterday on Instagram, and I thought it was good.

  2. I am in Aruba as well and have been since last Monday and will be returning this Monday.
Beautiful indeed! I enjoyed Baby Beach as well
It has been one for the memory books!

  3. Aruba looks so beautiful, thanks for sharing the pictures with us. (Love the Eliza J dress. Praying your ship remains healthy and you can return home safe and sound.

  4. Hi, Cyndi,
So glad you are having a great trip.. I would like to know the products that you are using on your face while you are at the beach. If that were a picture of me on the beach, I’d be a sweaty greasy mess! You look so refreshingly cute!!

  5. Love the post and the wonderful pics from the beach and cruise. I look forward to your posts everyday and Jo-Lynn’s too. I have missed her these past 2 days – I hope she is OK.

    1. Jo-Lynne has been doing her daily blog posts. Maybe you just haven’t received her email. You might want to check your junk folder.

  6. Well it looks like you are having a great time amongst all the ups and downs with this virus. Sorry to hear you may not get to all your expected ports, but Aruba looks gorgeous and the pic of you on the beach is advertisement perfection!! Things have changed here quite dramatically over the last 24-48 hours in Canada and I ditto Elena’s remarks…. I am not going to stress or panic but we will take it seriously and be prepared. We know so many who have changed or cancelled their vacation plans and with March break starting today for so many I know its discouraging. My prayers are for safety and good health as you finish up your trip and arrive home. We must remember through all of this God is in control of it all. Thanks for your BFTH( so timely) Enjoy the rest of your trip:) safe travels….

    1. I have followed your blog for a couple of years because I love your style. I have to admit I’ve really had a tough time with your blog this week. I don’t agree with your decision to go on your cruise this week with all the coronovirus warnings going on. I am disappointed, as I’m sure there are many women out there that admire you, and I was hoping you would be more of a role model with better judgement than you displayed. I do hope you return safely to the US safe and sound.

      1. Dana – let me kindly say you need to lighten up. The world as we know it has changed dramatically in the past week. Making the decision to cancel a cruise or not is an extremely difficult one to make. I know because we had to make the same decision this week. Our 40th anniversary cruise that has been planned and much anticipated for a year and a half. Trying to balance what is overblown media hype with your good common sense is hard to do, and things change every minute. So absolutely quit the shaming!

  7. I refuse to live in fear. I am shopping, going to the gym and caring for my mother. There have been worse things to happen. Anyone remember Swine Flu.
Enjoy the rest of your venture and make memories.

    1. I do remember the swine flu and how awful it was – a lot worse than this flu. Many were sick and hospitalized in the USA and many died. I too am going about my daily business as usual as much as the crazed media scare will allow.

  8. Absolutely love your BFTH…. How timely! Praying for your health and safe return home. As a Canadian, our provincial and federal governments are not recommending travel outside of Canada and if you do travel, 14 days of self isolation/ quarantine is recommended. Our Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife has been confirmed to have COVD19 and he is on isolation. This virus affects everyone. Not telling you that to stress you out…. Just cautioning to check your government advisory and take caution with seeing your children and grandchildren upon return home. All the best on your remaining days on board….. One day at a time.

  9. Love seeing you and your husband having a restful and fun filled vacation. praying that when you reach USA port you will not be detained. Have a safe trip

  10. Such cute photos and your style is perfection! It’s hard to find women over the age of 30 who dress appropriately but stylish and attractive and you manage to do it flawlessly.

  11. Love all the pics, and you look adorable!!! Prayers for a restful day, and safe return back to the US!!! Many prayers continuing for our country and all who have already been affected with the corona virus.

    1. Calm in the storm-love the words of wisdom…
Also, I think the Panama Canal would be amazing-sorry you don’t get to port…stay safe and healthy!

  12. The Eliza dress looks gorgeous on you. You and your husband are so cute together. I hope you are relaxed when you get back.

  13. Very cute pictures of the both of you. Looks like you are having fun. We just can’t panic in these times, God is taking care of us. We just go with the flow and hang in here. Enjoy your cruise….

Honestly, we have never heard about any virus with such vigor. There have been a lot of other ones that was just a bleep years past. I agree with Sharon B. watch a little news and get the details. Most channels sensationalize the stories. We have to stay calm and do what we can.

Enjoy your families sounds like we will all be in our homes for awhile…

Go bless you and Wayne and all people on your cruise ship. God Bless our President and Admin for doing what they can..we need to come together as one. We live in one of the best countries in the world.

  14. Looks like you’re having an amazing time! Isn’t Aruba gorgeous? We were there a few years ago for a family wedding, and spent 12 days there. It is still my favorite vacation our family has taken! The people were so kind, and it’s just such a relaxing place.
Prayers you make it home safely!!

  15. You looked amazing in all your pics as usual! Y’all are in my prayers that you stay safe and healthy. Sending you Lots of Light and Love ❤️

    Dona

  16. Glad you’re seeking solace in the One who knows us best. Aruba looks beautiful – and the picture of you on the beach is so pretty and looks so calm and serene – much needed in all the craziness right now. I read a meme on FB that said if we were to turn off the news we’d likely be a lot less afraid – I’m thinking there’s a lot of truth in that thought.
Anyway, prayers for safe travels home!

  17. I am going to share the BFTH because it is perfect for right now, in particular. Things continue to change and worsen, but God knows exactly what we’re dealing with, and He is right here with us. I mask glad y’all were able to have a beautiful day in Aruba. I pray that y’all will be able to disembark on schedule and get back home with any issues. God bless!

  18. I love your genuine, heartfelt messages and Scripture. Your fashions really highlight your fabulous taste in clothes. The picture of you sitting with your back to the viewer on the ocean is stunning! Blessings!

  19. As always, you look beautiful. I love the flowing orange dress!! The world sometimes seems to be spinning out of control, but we know the One who is in control. During times such as these what comfort I find in knowing that I belong to Him. Prayers for you safe return home.

  20. These pictures are beautiful, Cyndi. The dresses are gorgeous, especially loving the white and red/floral dress. Aruba looks wonderful! It’s a crazy time right now for sure, but nothing in our control so it’s best to just enjoy each day as it’s given to us!
    Take care!

  21. I pray you make it back home safely. The world is a little crazy right now but if we keep our eyes on Jesus he will lead us safely through this storm. Safe Travels!

    1. So glad you are enjoying your cruise. We are still trying to decide if we are going on ours in 4 weeks. Just playing the waiting game right now. Have a wonderful time with the rest of your cruise!! Praying 🙏 for a quick and easy trip home.
