Vacation Wear

Hi ladies! Today I’m sharing some more vacation wear and where we have traveled. One of our stops was Willemstad, Curacao, and this is a beautiful island.

We toured several places, and I loved seeing the painted Dutch architecture that lines the waterfront. Legend has it, years ago, the governor suffered from migraines and attributed it to the harsh reflection of the sun on the white buildings.

There was a decree to paint the buildings any color other than white. The result is a gorgeous and vibrant city!

Curacao has lots of flamingos!

Since the weather is warm, I finally got to wear the sleeveless top I designed with Gibson and a pair of denim shorts. My Madewell sandals are 25% off with code WHATSALE.

We were supposed to go to Colon, Panama, but due to the coronavirus, that stop was canceled.

We did go through the Panama Canal and the Gatun Locks. The Gatun Locks are a lock system that lifts a ship up 85 feet to the main elevation of the Panama Canal and down again.

Lastly, we stopped at Puerto Limón, Costa Rica.

Last night to dinner, I wore this off the shoulder dress with peplum sleeves.

We now have two days on the ship until we get to the United States. So much has changed since we left, but I’m ready to get home.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi Cyndi!
We went on a cruise last year and Curaçao was my favorite by far. The town and the beaches were gorgeous! We also went to Aruba and I have to say I was a little bit disappointing. It just wasn’t what I envision. I hope you’ve had a wonderful trip. Safe travels!

  2. I’m curious since there have been other ships with the virus will your ship have to test all the passengers for the virus?!

Your trip looks and sounds wonderful!!

    Continued safe and healthy travels!

    🙏🏻🛳

  3. Thank you for sharing your pics with us.. looks like you were able to enjoy your vacation with all that’s been going on.. We have changes here in our province happening daily. Prayers for a safe and healthy trip home❤️
PS I have those earrings and wore them all last spring , summer and early fall. You’re right they are great with bathing suits too!

  4. HI Cindy, What is your FB group called? I sure could use a positive environment on social media, things are so bad right now.

Your trip looks like it was wonderful, I’m glad you got to go and enjoy yourself, it’s hard to say how things are going to be for a while. 🙂

  5. What beautiful scenery! I’m so glad you were able to get off the boat and enjoy it. Also, I’m glad you are headed home and get to relax in your own home – which for me is always better – home is my safe place.
I would like to say, and I didn’t respond on the comment another reader made earlier to one of your posts about missing your grandchildren…we all miss people differently and have different family relationships and closeness. I for one, miss my daughter if I don’t speak with her daily; on the other hand I go weeks without talking to my dad (my mother died in 2001, he is married and has his own life and rarely if ever calls me and that seems to work for us.) I hesitate to say this but I just felt the reader was “shaming you” for not enjoying your vacation and I personally was offended for you. It just seemed an unnecessary comment to make.
    Prayers for safety travels!

    1. Will be so glad to hear you put the key in the lock and opened your own front door and are home safely. Take care and God bless you, your hubby and your family! ❤️

  6. I know your trip has been interesting and one to always remember! Love the picture of the beautiful colorful buildings and the legend.
I can understand “ready to be home“ because no matter what “there’s no place like home.”
    🏡

  7. Beautiful pictures! We have a cruise schedule for the end of April. I hope we still get to go and all the ports are opened. Will you have to self quarantine when you return?
    You look refreshed and rested!

    1. Hi Sherry,
I would cancel your April cruise and rebook. This virus won’t be going away anytime soon. Plus, so many countries are turning away cruise ships and you’re beautiful vacation will be ruined. Once, you return home you will need to self quarantine, as well.

  8. Glad you had a great trip and I hope you remain safe and getting back into the States is not a problem. I live in Illinois. Everyday it gets more crazy. On Friday, the governor closed all schools K-12 in the state. Yesterday he is closing all bars and restaurants in the state effective today. My older daughter who goes to college in Wisconsin is home now a week before spring break and won’t go back until after Easter. I just hope we all come out unscathed.

  9. I enjoyed your photos of the places you traveled. So beautiful. So sorry your full enjoyment of your vacation was altered with the news and concerns of this Corona virus. These are truly different times for all of us. It we are all in this together and our God is going before us and we need to trust in him.

Praying for your safety as you try to get home. There is no place like home.
