Striped Tank and Colored Jeans

Happy Friday, ladies! Today I’m sharing another cheery spring outfit. I need all the color I can get these days, so I’m wearing a striped tank with colored jeans.

We’ve made it through another week, and I’m sure most of us will be staying at home this weekend.

It’s weird not being able to get together with friends and family. My dad said as soon as all this is over, we’re going to have a big family get-together.

He’s over 70 years old, so he’s been in for several weeks, thankfully we have Facetime so we can still see each other.

My colored jeans are from LOFT, and I didn’t realize they were almost sold out. I did find a similar pair HERE, they’re not quite as pink, but I like the color, and they’re on sale.

I styled this striped tank with the matching shorts last week. It’s a really cute tank that is bra-friendly.

Tank top (I’m wearing an XS)//Harborside shorts (I’m wearing a small)//Earrings//Slide sandals (TTS)

My wedge sandals are from last year, but there are still a few sizes left, and they’re now on sale.

Hang in there, ladies; we will be wearing all our spring clothes soon!

Denim Jacket (I’m wearing a small)//Striped Tank (I’m wearing an XS)//Colored Jeans (I’m wearing a size 26)//Hoop Earrings//Pearl Necklace//Chain Necklace//Wedge Sandal

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

  1. Those jeans! Oh, those jeans and the positive happiness just jumped right through my monitor. Wonderful post.

  2. I was skeptical about the no show socks! You made a believer out of me! Thanks for the tip and God bless💕

  3. I love the happy colors! I agree with Kathy, we need you to keep this going to boost our spirits! Thank you!

  4. Great outfit on you. You always look soooo cute. I love LOFT. Thanks for keeping your blog going….we all need this right now.

  5. I absolutely LOVE those jeans! I am 56 and would totally order those except I’ve gained some weight so I’m avoiding anything that will call attention to my hips/thighs just now, and the bright color draws the eye. But I love them! I would wear them with similar shoes and a flowy white top, and think they’d look great on any age. You look darling!!!

  6. Great outfit! Love BFTH! I’m missing my friends and family. Our family started a text/chat! Sharing what we are doing, encouraging one another with funny videos and pictures. I’m 6 hours away, but doesn’t matter because everyone is quarantined.
I’m sorry about the negative comment. I’m almost 60. I wear what makes me feel confident. And I always try to be stylish. ❤️

  7. This is a true story about my mom. My mom was 80 when she fell and fractured her right kneecap. At that time the orthopedic physician discussed with us about how to best take care of this with my mom being 80. He said that we needed to decide whether she wanted surgery or to wear a brace from her kneecap down for 8 weeks. My mom’s physical therapist went to the appointment with us to help us decide. We decided on the brace but after taking a look at the brace, my mom said to the physician, “O’h no now I won’t be able to wear my skinny jeans”. We all had a good laugh. That being said, everyone has to decide what looks best on them. My mom passed away last July and what I wouldn’t give to hear that once again.

    1. What a precious story. My mom will be gone 2 years in May. I’d love to hear her voice again, too! ❤️

      1. Two years for me in April since losing my dear mom. I have a “live” photo of her with two of her great granddaughters and when you press the “live” button my mom is saying one of her signature comments “how wonderful!” I love listening to it. She was truly wonderful! Love the skinny jeans story!!! 💖

  8. I love the cheery outfit and you look amazing in it! I look forward to your daily posts especially in the times we are in. Be safe & stay healthy.

  9. Hi Cyndi! What a great outfit! Your BFTH is spot on for me right now. Sometimes I copy these so I can reread them later and be reminded of these truths. This one is going on the page! Thanks for uplifting me! ❤️

  10. I love the pop of. Olof you are styling these days. I also love your style and that you style clothes that don’t age you but make you look and I’m sure feel younger. I am in the 60+ age group and do not believe I need to give up wearing smart and stylish clothes and I always get complements on how good I look

    Thanks for the BFTH today.

  11. Cyndi..love the bright colors and wedges! I live in FL and have several pairs of floral leggins (that I wear with my crocs indoors) but you are right, they do brighten up my mood right now!
    Looking forward to noon🌞☕♥️!!!

  12. Just lovely!!!! I am struggling with these shorter tops tho!! Tunics are hard to come by this season for sure. Love the cherry bright colors!!! Blessings!!!

  13. Love the cheery outfit! Inspiration for me as I sit in my black and grey comfy clothes working from home. I need to change it up to get out of this funk! Stay well!

  14. Thanks for such a bright cheery outfit.. I too am looking forward to the time when we can be wearing our spring things and getting together with friends and family again:) we are all pretty much being asked to Stay Home… and go out for essentials only( food).. It’s been like a ghost town in our streets..
    blessings and stay healthy 😀

    1. Cindi you look amazing at your age, but I think age appropriate clothing looks so much more flattering on you! There is a reason why the LOFT has models in their 20s (not 50s)
wearing the skin tight skinny jeans and sky high wedges.
I do love the video of you and your husband.

      1. Respectfully, I think whatever clothes each individual chooses is their choice. I too am in my 50’s and wear skinny jeans. I don’t think it’s a matter of what we wear (as long as it’s not too revealing), but what is in our hearts. Cyndi has a beautiful heart, as well as, beautiful on the outside. We should all just be spreading the love of Jesus! ❤️

        1. I am in my SIXTIES and wear skinny jeans! And I do shop at Loft from time to time! Yes, some of their clothing is definitely geared more towards the younger generation, but they have plenty of clothes that I feel I can wear that are “age appropriate” without looking like I’m trying to look like a 20 or 30 year old. Thank you, Cyndi for showing us how to wear today’s trends at any age!

        2. I’m with you Melissa
I am not going to lay down and die and start dressing like an old woman because I am 54. I shop at the Loft. There is no age limit to shopping at the Loft. As long as I look and act like a lady. And if I am ever a size 2 I’m wearing skinny jeans. And I am not cutting of my shoulder length hair either. Sometimes people criticize her for her long hair and that burns me up.

      2. Cyndi, you are a breathe of fresh air. I need to start wearing spring colors to brighten my day, too. I love the bright pink pants and fun striped top,

      3. Oh wow, would age appropriate be polyester pants and orthopedic shoes? I need to know since I’m just a smidge behind her age-wise 😉
I think she looks lovely and stylish.

      4. Loft may use young models, but ask a young lady if she shops at Loft and most of them will tell you no. Loft is for those that have graduated from having to be “cool” and are mature enough to dress in what they like. I think Cyndi’s outfit looks perfectly fine for 50+ ladies. I would certainly wear it at 52!

      5. Katrina…I think you should not be writing negative comments. If you don’t like what is on a blog, then don’t follow it. Cyndi is beautiful and looks good and age appropriate in all she styles. I am 58 yrs. old and wear skinny jeans and LOFT is my favorite place to shop and 9 times out of 10 when I am in there, the others shopping are at least my age or older. They have perfect clothes for our age. I guess with what is going on in this world right now, I think we should be sending positive comments to each other.

      6. I guess I’ll never dress my age lol and I’m 52… I follow Cyndi and even look to see what some of the younger bloggers are wearing..? It’s all good 😉

      7. Some women have no choice except to shop at places for 20’s and teenagers because women’s stores have sized them out. Vanity sizing has now brought me to size 0 and 00, ever try finding those sizes in women’s stores? Yeah, they don’t exist. Try being 55 and shopping at Hollister competing with 16 year olds to grab your size of pants before they do. Don’t forget most items are trendy. Top it off with women in my age group making comments online about you shouldn’t shop at Loft. Guess I’ll go naked.

      8. These jeans look great on her, and you can tell she feels great wearing them. What is more appropriate than that? I’m 55 and will rock whatever I want. 🙂
