May Favorites

Happy hump day! Today I’m sharing some May favorites with you. Most of them I have but a few I want to add to my wardrobe.

Alligator Embossed Leather Mule (TTS) I have these, and they’re perfect for spring.

Black Maxi Dress | I have this, and it’s a great option for warm weather. Keep it very casual with a denim jacket.

AGOLDE Riley High Waist Crop Straight Leg Jeans | I have these, and they’re a cute straight crop jean. I sized down one size. ( I purchased when they were on sale.)

Relaxed-Fit Short-Sleeve Shirt | This comes in several colors, and it’s so comfy. I have the light wash denim.

Animal Print Watch Band | I have this, and I’ve also ordered the black one.

Tie-Dyed Front Twist Top | I love tie-dyed and a twist front, this top has both! This style works well with high waisted denim.

New Balance Sneakers | I have these and wear them all the time!

How Not To Die | I have seen this book a lot lately. I haven’t read it yet, but I have ordered it.

Kindness Is Free | This is one of my favorite brands of graphic t-shirts, and of course, I love what it says.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~ It’s easy to let anger and bitterness take hold of us. Whether it’s a painful memory or an unkind word spoken by a friend or a family member.

But we can live differently. We can allow God to take captive of those thoughts (2 Cor. 10:5) that hurt us or cause us to be bitter. We can turn down that voice and turn up the voice of God.

Romans 12:14 says, Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them.

Are you allowing bitterness to take hold of you?

Have a blessed day!

  1. I would love to read your take on dressing your age and what’s really NOT appropriate to wear. Like a good choice…wrong choice type of thing

  2. Hi Cyndi
Love the blog today!! I wanted to tell you I ordered the new balance sneakers a couple weeks ago.
Off your blog. I LOVE them. Wear them all the time!!
    Donna from PA

  3. PS could you style the mules? Love the color. Are they TTS with pointed toe or would you recommend size up 1/2 size?

  4. Wow. Those jeans are expensive. I’d love to see you style them. You always look better than the models do. Love all your picks but not liking the looks of the jeans.

  5. I am 72 and share your philosophy on dressing to what looks classy and Stylish which is why I follow your blog. I appreciate your attitude about not thinking your age dictates your look. Keeping it classy is the key.

  6. I’d like to see how you style the pink mules? Always helps to see things on you and then I decide how much I like them 😉

  7. Hi Cyndi, do you know anything about USA made denim brands? Which would you recommend? Thanks!

  8. Thank you for reiterating age is “ageless” in how we dress and think of ourselves. Your posts inspire good taste and creativity and how to have fun with beauty and fashion….all the while staying well grounded. Look forward to reading you each day.

  9. Love your blog, especially the one yesterday. I went right in and threw out my capris which I never loved!
Besides Glamour Farms, are there other small clothing businesses that you recommend? I often see other lesser known companies advertise really cute items, but when I look at the feedback there are many recommendations to not trust that company or their quality is bad.

  10. Love your posts and creative, positive and spiritual thoughts. Thank you!

When you have a chance, could you please suggest some beach cover ups? I can’t seem to find anything cute.

  11. I really wish you would write on dressing your body shape NOT your age!! I’m so with you on that!! I’m almost 79 and NO ONE thinks I’m even close to that. I don’t dress frumpy….just because my grandmother did…even when she was 60! I dress my body weight, shape and size and my style is classic! I don’t wear real trendy clothes but always wear stylish ones. I dress nicely and put on makeup most days (9 times out of 10) because I always feel better about myself when I do. Just because we’ve been cooped up for weeks because of Covid-19 doesn’t mean I wear overly casual sweats, etc. I’m sure my husband appreciates it too! Thanks for bringing the subject up. I think it needs to be discussed. xoxo

    1. Sondra, I don’t know you but I hope I’m just like you in 25 years! I love your attitude!

By the way ladies, for those who won’t wear shorts because of how their legs look, I find that self tanner hides a lot of flaws.

  12. Cyndi, I started following your blog two years ago and look forward to my email each day. I’m 5’4″ and 125-127 pounds (depending on the day!) so I can almost always order your size and know it will fit. I love how you encourage women to think classy and stylish instead of their age (I’m 59). I also love your encouraging words and your heart for Jesus! Thank you for the great job you do each day!

  13. I have the How Not to Die book. Dr. Greger also has a website called Nutrition Facts.org. My husband and I went whole food plant based over 2 years ago and have never looked back.

  14. Would like to see a post about dressing classy and stylish and for your body type rather than age. I am 77 and appreciate your youthful ideas and approach to fashion. I follow you because you are willing to try new fads and to have fun with clothing and accessories. I admire your free spirit and style. I bought the hot pink duster cardigan you styled recently and I love it with my blue jeans and white v-neck t-shirt. Thanks for all you do to lift our spirits and to keep us up-to-date in fashion.

  15. I agree. I am 66, and I wear what I think looks good on me, not dependent on my age. I wear shorts a lot (well, I will when this weather warms up), but I now wear 5-6″ shorts, not 4″ except at home. I like to think that wearing shorts and tank tops or sleeveless tops keeps me thinking about taking care of my body.

  16. I would love a post about classy and stylish. I was so surprised to hear several ladies say that they are 60 and will not wear shorts! What?? As long as it is stylish and tasteful it doesn’t matter what your age is. Would love to hear your input. You are my style guru

  17. I love following your blog each morning! As a woman over 50 I have not really bought into the “dress your age” motto, either. What I do keep in mind when styling myself is “location, occasion & my body situation”.

  18. Thank you so much for your post reminding us to allow God to take control of the hurt and pray for those hurting us.

  19. Oh I would gladly take temps in the low 20’s.. we are back to sun but cool winds which makes it more winter like than spring.. it must be a system going through as it seems we are all getting a bit of it. Nice to see the top from glamour farms … I’ve missed seeing you style some of their items:)
    Love your favs!

  20. Thank you for including a cute top from Glamour Farms…I just ordered that top last night in the aqua color. As you know, they are a small business of Christians that need our support and they have great quality items at affordable prices.
