It’s hard to believe, but July 4th is less than a month away, so I’m sharing a casual 4th of July outfit. My tee is an Americana Dip-Dye Tee from Old Navy.
I love the three colors, and this will be fun to wear to a summertime cookout.
The tee runs slightly small, so I’m wearing a medium, I don’t like tight-fitting tees.
I paired this tee with my LOFT jean shorts. These are my favorite jeans shorts that I’ve purchased for summer.
I did a front tuck, and the left the back of the tee hanging out,

Hi Cyndi! I’ve been looking for a patriotic T shirt I could wear that didn’t look too overbearing. I bought this Old Navy T-shirt and got it in yesterday. I sized up and it fits perfectly. PS Cyndi….have you experienced the return problems everyone in these comments in talking about? I have 2 LOFT returns and even though our big mall is open now, some stores aren’t, including LOFT.
Cyndi……where are you seeing you can order the Alba body lotion in UNSCENTED? I need unscented. Thanks. You look so cute in the 4th of July outfit. You look great in EVERYTHING. Our small town canceled ALL 4th festivities this year. 🙁 We usually have a big parade etc. etc. etc. This is the 1st time in 50 years there won’t be a town celebration. Just sad. But, I guess it was too uncertain to go forward with all the planning when the committee didn’t know when and if the States would open. I’d think they could have at least kept the night firework show.
I also bought 3 items recently styled from Walmart that didn’t fit so I had to return. When I got to Walmart they were very reluctant to return the items,but agreed to do this one time. However they told me third party items would have to be boxed up and sent back by me in the future. Also. You do not get the money refunded until the 3rd party receives the merchandise. This really makes it hard to order on line. Wondering if others have experienced this?
Purchased several items on April 1st at Walmart. Went to return April 3rd. Waited in the customer service return line for 5 minutes, I was third in line when the clerk gazed up and asked me, “Do you have an exchange?” Yes, I said. “We’re not doing any exchanges at this time because of the COVID-19.” No signs posted anywhere. I was ticked. I went straight to a supervisor to inquire. His response, “we won’t be taking any returns until this is all over.” I have been in Walmart at least once a week since April 3rd and there are still no signs posted in any dept. I asked last week if we can return yet. The clerk said, no, it will be a long time.
Warning! I have found that, during this weird time that some of the stores are not letting you return clothing items. I found out Walmart is not letting you return any clothing items at this time and I didn’t know til the checker told me at checkout. This makes getting clothes to fit rather difficult right now because all the dressing rooms are closed. So if you purchase clothes and you are not sure if they will fit and plan to try them on at home and return them if they don’t fit, think twice about purchasing. Ask an employee if they are or are not honoring their return policy for clothing items before purchasing clothes or even bothering to look at clothes. Good luck, ladies and stay safe!

You look really cute in this top and pretty much everything you wear. However, I would like to make a suggestion…I know you like to wear your tops tucked in in the front and out in the back. By doing this, it is hard for us ladies to see the cut and length of the front of the top which I need to see because I have an older lady ponch in the front and need to wear my shirts out. So my suggestion is: can you take at least one of your pictures in your series of pictures with the front NOT tucked in. This would really help me and I think most of the ladies out there with this same problem. Thanks, Cyndi!
I love that suggestion. The front tucks look great on Cyndi but not on me. That’s one area I want to avoid any attention. 🙂

I love your 4th of July outfit! On your website the top colors are very vibrant which I love. The top on The Old Navy website are very dull. What is the true colors of the top vibrant or dull?
I think it’s in between mine and the old Navy website. I asked my daughter and she said vibrant. 🙂
Yeah its crazy how fast things are selling out. We are able to try on in our stores(Canada) but they have a system in place that needs to be followed and only so many are open at a time. I just ordered that little red and white strip tank dress only in the navy and white along with the navy and white t shirt dress you styled the other day. Old Navy has been the worst for being out of stock on line I guess no one wants to hit the stores yet. Love this look and wow that tee shirt,,,, Have a great day
I also live in Canada. Some stores here (in Saskatchewan) allow try-ons, but no returns, while others allow returns but no try-ons. The ones with open change rooms have only half the rooms available. All the stores have reduced hours. This makes shopping for clothes rather interesting. 😊
I love you are styling a 4th of July outfit and still shopping. I have slowed way down shopping because of the return policy and not being able to try on. Banana Republic let me try on so got couple petite tops there with short sleeves. I love the shorts you have on .

Kim I’m 5’6″ and I uncuffed the shorts so they would be longer. On the LOFT site they’re cuffed twice.
