Happy Friday, ladies! This week has flown by, but I’m not complaining; I’m ready for the weekend.

Jo-Lynne and I are teaming up with Talbots today and I’m styling some summer basics with Talbots, a white top, ankle jeans, a leather handbag, and two styles of shoes.

I love a white top with denim, and this one from Talbots has several pretty details (it also comes in several different colors).

The neckline has a scalloped edge, and the sleeves are elbow length. The top is hip length and can be worn out.

You can also do a front tuck.

This leather handbag is the perfect size for summer. It’s the trendy hobo style with a sleek, sophisticated look.

The espadrille wedges go with jeans, dresses, and shorts.

If you don’t like a heel, these pointy-toed slingback shoes are perfect for summer.

They run a bit small, so I would size up 1/2 size.

I’m wearing a pair of small hoop and pearl earrings.

My modern ankle jeans are high waisted with a straight leg. I’m wearing misses, but they also come in petite and plus sizes. These summer basics can be mixed and matched with all your summer clothes.
