Dressing Up With J.Crew: 22 Days of Fall Fashion

Hi ladies!. Today, I’m dressing up a bit for my fall fashion series. I know loungewear is having a moment in 2020, but I like to dress up, and I do it every chance I get!

This outfit is something I would wear to church, and because our weather is getting chilly in the mornings and evenings, I will add a jacket.

This is the cutest top from J.Crew; I love the flutter sleeves and, of course, the leopard dot print. I also added some pearl earrings from Banana Republic.

These slim pants from J.Crew are all season and on sale. I can wear them with heels, sandals, and booties.

This denim jacket is from Chico’s, and it’s one of my favorites. I love the length!

I love a heel, but sometimes I don’t what a high heel. These block heels with a 2-inch heel are a great option.

My Look

Flutter-Sleeve Leopard Dot Top (I’m wearing an XS)//Slim Crop Pant (I’m wearing a size 4)//Block-Heel Pumps (I sized up 1/2 size)//Pearl Earrings//Pearl Wrap Bracelet//Black Belt//Denim Jacket (I’m wearing a size 00)//Michael Kors Handbag

Do you like to dress up even during Covid-19?

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

Now head over and see what Jo-Lynne Shane is styling today!

Beauty For the Heart~~ Change has been a huge part of my life over the last few years, and I’m guessing some of you have been through change too.

God has taught me so much through the changes and even through brokenness.

I love this quote by John Piper that says, Occasionally weep deeply over the life you hoped would be. Grieve the losses. Then wash your face. Trust God and embrace the life you have.

I’m thankful that even though life is full of changes, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Have a blessed day!

  1. Such a cute outfit, Cyndi! Watching your blog has really helped me dress better and make better choices. Thank you and enjoy the weekend!

  2. happy birthday to Wayne! yes, it’s nice to get dressed up sometimes 😉 thank you for sharing & for always shining light for Christ.

  3. The outfit looks fabulous on you! So cute! Thank you for trying on J. Crew:) Please try on more, much more of their tops, sweaters, jackets, dresses, pants, and skirts. They really need you to model their clothing, because you are more like the everyday lady. I really don’t find that their models give me a true sense of what the clothes will look like on me. Thank you again:)

  4. I never fell into the loungewear/athletics way of dressing. I get dressed every morning. I think it’s better for your frame of mind.
I love your block heels! Do they fit narrow?

  5. This is such a great fall outfit and I love the addition of the Jean jacket. I do need to remind myself to get out of the cozy stuff and put on actual clothes even to just run to the grocery store lol. These day’s there’s very few places to feel the need to get dressed up for. I think we can still dress up a cute pair of joggers or leggings and be put together 🤷‍♀️, while being comfy 😉.
Happy Birthday to Wayne I hope he has a great day and blessed year ahead.

  6. I feel great to dress up and ponder exactly where I can go these days! Ha!
Love my days of being comfortable. However, I think that I feel better if I put some effort into a cute stay at home look!
J.Crew always has some fun clothes! Pumps look good too!

  7. Love this outfit and love your style! I stumbled along your website this week and, I have to say, it’s been such an inspiration! The style you contribute, along with your inspirational words & scriptures are so wonderful & helpful! As a business woman in my 40s, I need the style help and also the faith boost! Thank you, thank you!

  8. This outfit is totally me. Love that the pants come in petite as well. 😃
Been wanting this belt and not sure why I’ve waiting so long to order it.

  9. I laughed out loud when I saw your post about dressing up to go to the mailbox – just hit my funny bone! 😀
Love the outfit, similar top from Walmart in your post last week(?) as I just received the Walmart top yesterday… cheaper too and SO cute!!!
    LOVE your posts!

  10. I absolutely love this top, but I noticed that it is dry clean only. Do you plan to dry clean it, or try to wash it by hand in cold water? I would love to purchase it, but this may be a game changer for me.

  11. Very cute outfit, and if I were still working in an office that would be a go-to look. I’ve been working from home since March, and don’t see that I’m going back into the office until sometime next calendar year, and even then likely not full time in the office. So…I’m going to say I have not missed the “dressing up” one bit. As matter of fact, I’m still in my pjs most days until noon unless I have a video meeting – LOL. I saw a meme the day that said “the longer I stay home, the more homeless I look” and I had to laugh bc it’s so true. I have a closet full of clothes I’ve not worn in months – and with staying home they likely don’t fit – oops! Anyway, I’ve enjoyed this “stay at home” relaxation way of life….my husband may not recognize me if I ever wear real clothes and actually put on my “full face” :).

  12. Darling outfit today. I did not jump on the loungewear train during our stay at home directive. It seemed like it wasn’t healthy so I made myself get dressed or if working on projects – and there were lots of those- dress for it but clean up & get dressed afterwards. Overall I felt more normal and I believe it helps our heads to do so. There’s an old Seinfeld episode were Jerry says something about sweatpants tell the world that you given up. For me, that says it all. Blessings all.

  13. Yes! I too love reasons to dress up. Some days I’ll dress and my kids or grandkids will come in the house and say “where are you going” lol
