5 Wearable Fashion Trends For Fall

Happy hump day, ladies! We are in full fall mode, so I thought we would talk about 5 Wearable Fashion Trends. One thing for sure, comfort is trending.

Here are 5 Wearable Fashion Trends for Fall:

1. Plaid (preppy trend)

Okay, plaid has been around for a while, but we see more now than ever; the preppy look is having a moment, so add some plaid to your wardrobe.

I recently styled this plaid blazer from Target. When you add plaid, it’s a good idea to keep everything else neutral. I’m wearing a black cami, denim, and black heels.

Plaid Blazer (I’m wearing an XS)//Black Camisole (I’m wearing a small)//Boyfriend Jeans (I’m wearing a size 27, less expensive option here)//Black Pumps (I sized up 1/2 size)//Earrings//Bracelet//Black Handbag (similar option here)

2. Cardigans and Capes

Since cozy is trending, we will see more cozy cardigans and comfortable capes this fall. This cardigan from Old Navy has been a top seller here on my blog.

Open-Front Sweater (I’m wearing a small)//Camisole (I’m wearing a small)//Earrings//Necklace//Bracelet//Skinny Jeans (I’m wearing a size 4)//Tan Booties (TTS, Use code CYNDI10 for 10% off)

3. Neutrals and Brown Tones

I love this trend, and I see more and more of these colors. I think this trend will be around for a while, and if black is too harsh for you, this is a great option.

I love this neutral coat, and I paired it with a neutral sweater from Walmart.

Relaxed Coat (I’m wearing a small)//Turtleneck Sweater (I’m wearing a small)//Skinny Jeans (I’m wearing a size 4)//Earrings//Scrunch Booties

I recently styled this brown sweater from Amazon.

Pearl Wrap Bracelet//Safari Warp Bracelet//Cable Stitch Sweater (I’m wearing an XS)//AG Jeans (similar option here)//Vince Camuto Bootie (I sized up 1/2 size)//Faux Leather Tote

4. Faux Fur and Shearling

This trend has been around for a few seasons, and it’s still going strong. I recently purchased this teddy coat from Walmart.

Teddy Bear Faux Sherpa Coat (I’m wearing a small)//Mock Turtleneck (I’m wearing a small)//Skinny Jeans (I’m wearing a size 4)//Pearl Earrings//Madewell Mules (size up 1/2 size)

5. Baggier Jeans

Okay, so this one is a little harder, and I haven’t found the best baggy jean. I definitely think we will start seeing more boot cut and straight leg jeans. Again because we see more comfort styles due to Coved-19.

These girlfriend jeans are a little baggier, and distressing on your jeans is still popular. I don’t do a lot of distressing, but I don’t mind some slight distressing.

Faux-Leather Moto Jacket (I’m wearing a size 00)//Black Tank (I’m wearing a size 00)//Girlfriend Jeans (I’m wearing a size 00)//Camo Clutch//Bracelet//Earrings//Strappy Heels

This is NOT an exhaustive list, but it’s 5 trends that I think are wearable, and we can incorporate them into our fall wardrobe. Which ones do you like the best?

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

  1. Love love plaid!I Straight cut slim jeans are in my closet already since they are popular choice for petites. I also have seen some cropped flares with pointy toed shoes that are so cute with a short fitted top. I had to go to the doctor for annual the other day & could not figure out how to dress, ha! I wore cropped light blue jeans with a beautiful blue color high low v-neck blouse with BCBG bootie shoes & got a compliment on my outfit at front door. I have a tendency to overdress sometimes so just didn’t. ha! Thanks for all the advice……we can really use it this year! So hard to shop nowadays! You always look amazing in the things you post! Keep sending us ideas!

  2. Ok, your Walmart has way better clothes then ours on the West Coast.

Love the plaid blazer from Target.
What other shoes would you wear with baggier jeans, other than high heels?

    Love your ideas,

    Shannon

    1. Shannon I see the baggier jeans with flats and booties.
Also, I don’t shop in the store at Walmart. Walmart.com (online) is completely different. They actually have designer brands.

  3. Yes, I’d like to know about scarves too. I have soooo many, but hate to get rid of any of them. I don’t like infinity scarves anymore, so may purge those.

  4. Are scarfs still in? I am purging in my closet and wondering if will regret getting rid of most of them. Help me to decide……😕

    1. Yes I have seen stores carrying them and I think they’re still in style. Scarves are pretty classic and appropriate in cold weather.

      1. I always thought that Old Navy was where my kids shopped for inexpensive, trendy clothes. Because of you I checked them out and was pleasantly surprised at the quality! I will definitely be getting some Winter wardrobe items from them this year!

  5. Bought the Sherpa coat from Walmart after you tried it on last week. Got it today and I’m
In love with it. Thank you

  6. After seeing your post a couple of weeks ago modeling the Old Navy color-blocked cardigan, I just had to buy it. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It is soft and a gorgeous addition to my fall wardrobe. Thank you!
