6 Ways to Wear Olive Pants

Hi friends! I’m so glad it’s Friday, not that we have any big plans, but I’m just looking forward to a pretty fall weekend.

Many of you have asked me to style one piece, different ways, so today, I’ve got 6 Ways to Wear Olive Pants.

I recently purchased these utility pants in an olive color. Olive pants are a great wardrobe essential to have in your wardrobe.

6 Ways to Wear Olive Pants

1. Denim Jacket + Olive Pants

This is an easy formula with a denim jacket. You can wear different tops under the denim jacket, including a cute graphic tee.

Olive Utility Pants (I’m wearing a size 6)//Black Tank (I’m wearing a small)//Denim Jacket (40% off right now, I’m wearing a size 00)//Black Belt//Leopard Flats (TTS)//Pearl Necklace//Link Necklace//Gold Chain Bracelet//Silver Chain Bracelet//Hoop Earrings

2. Chambray Shirt + Olive Pants

A chambray shirt is always a good option with olive pants.

Olive Utility Pants (I’m wearing a size 6)//Chambray Shirt (I’m wearing an XS)//Tan Booties (TTS)//Pearl Necklace//Gold Chain Bracelet//Silver Chain Bracelet//Hoop Earrings//Leopard Belt

3. Moto Jacket + Olive Pants

I love adding a jacket to my outfits, especially this time of year. This faux leather moto jacket is under $40!

Olive Utility Pants (I’m wearing a size 6)//Camisole (I’m wearing a small)//Moto Jacket (I’m wearing a small)//Tan Booties (TTS)//Link Necklace//Pearl Necklace//Gold Chain Bracelet//Silver Chain Bracelet//Hoop Earrings

4. Off White Cardigan + Olive Pants

Neutrals are trending this fall and off white looks great with olive pants.

Olive Utility Pants (I’m wearing a size 6)//Camisole (I’m wearing a small)//Cardigan (I’m wearing a small)//Tan Booties (TTS)//Pearl Necklace//Link Necklace//Gold Chain Bracelet//Silver Chain Bracelet//Hoop Earrings

5. Tan Sweater + Olive Pants

My tan sweater is from Target and no longer available, but I linked a similar one from Express. I love this color combo, and I like to add a pop of animal print.

Olive Utility Pants (I’m wearing a size 6)//Tan Sweater (Similar option here)//Pearl Earrings//Animal Print Heel (I sized up 1/2 size)//Silver Chain Bracelet//Gold Chain Bracelet

6. Black Sweater + Olive Pants

Lastly, black goes with everything, so of course, I love this black sweater with my olive pants.

Olive Utility Pants (I’m wearing a size 6)//Black Sweater (I’m wearing a small)//Marc Fisher Bootie (I sized up 1/2 size)//Silver Chain Bracelet//Gold Chain Bracelet//Hoop Earrings

  1. I’m between an XS and S top. I love the chambray jean shirt from Target. Is it really oversized or not? I’m 5’4” 125-130 lbs and B-cup. What size do you recommend?

  2. All cute looks, and this is kinda covered with the denim and chambray, but I like olive and navy together (works like the black in the first and last look)

  3. Cyndi, those olive pants are really versatile! I love all the ways you have styled them. I have an old pair from Old Navy that are really worn out. I think it’s time to replace them. Thanks for the helpful post!

    1. Thank you for that, Cyndi! I assume you could match up olive joggers by Gibson the same way? (They’re that dressy material, not traditional joggers) I’ve yet to wear them and was wondering what would look good

  4. I LOVED this post – I have olive pants, new this year, and have struggled to style them, this timing was PERFECT, in fact I wrote down all the options to keep in my bedroom to “remind” me when picking out the pants – LOL The shoes are a big surprise effect. Thanks!

  5. Well it was as if you were reading my mind. I just thought earlier it was funny you hadn’t styled Olive pants yet. I just bought a pair this fall so I can re create these looks from my closet! Just ordered two necklaces through the amazon link. Thanks for the ideas! Going to enjoy the weekend with family celebrating our sons 24 birthday! Have a good one😀

  6. Enjoyed this post! Love olive pants. Think black looks best with them. I also have a multi colored top that has touches of olive in it that I wear with them.

  7. So appreciate when you do these posts, one item, many ways. Sometimes I hesitate to buy certain pieces of clothing because I can only see them worn one way. Love all the accessorizing you do, I’m weak in that department. In the future I would enjoy seeing assorted sweaters and sweatshirts for the holidays to wear at home and work for day and evening. Themed or just the colors of the seasons would be wonderful. I always wait until the last minute to find something festive for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thank you and have a nice weekend. How’s Wayne? How was your country drive day?

  8. Do you find that Kendra Scott jewelry tarnishes easily or not? I LOVE the bracelets and don’t mind to pay the extra as long as I’m going to get longer wear out of it before it starts to turn.

    1. Thanks for the different ways to wear olive pants. I just bought a pair and you gave me so many great ideas for things I already have in my closet that will go with them that I hadn’t thought of. Also, thanks for your words in your BFTH. You always seem to come up with the right one when I need it. My brother was put into Hospice just yesterday with not much time left before he meets with Jesus. So this was very comforting and inspirational. Again, thank you.

  9. Thank you for today’s post. It was fun and helpful to see the different ways to style olive pants. I enjoyed seeing all the different shoe and top options. I also enjoyed the BFTH post today….it was exactly what I needed.
I too, am a retired dental hygienist. The profession afforded me a variety of different career opportunities for which I was very grateful.

  10. I like to wear olive also with blush, or even hot pink. Do the pants run true to size? You are pretty tiny and sometimes wear a 4 whereas I am a true 6 on bottom which are sold out. Should i go up a size? 5’5 140 lbs.

  11. I definitely think the black sweater looks best. I’m not usually a fan of high necks because I need all the length I can get. I don’t even wear scarfs. I also like that the pants aren’t rolled up. Again, I need the length. Thank you so much for sharing the looks. I hope you will share looks from the usual suspects like Loft, Banana Republic and J Crew. Thank you and have a wonderful week:)

  12. thanks for this post – i have a couple pair of olive pants i love but i struggle so much with shoes and how to wear them. this post was very helpful

  13. Hi Cyndi,
I just love when you do posts like this. I like seeing the versatility in a piece of clothing. It really helps me see how to better utilize my wardrobe. Thanks!

  14. Good morning, Cyndi! I love this post! Thank you for showing many fabulous ways to wear our olive pants! Also, I loved the BFTH!😘

  15. Thanks for the great post. I like seeing different ways to style a piece of clothing. I just purchased some olive cargo pants…so, great timing!

  16. These are my favorite type of posts, when you show several ways to style an item. I particularly like the olive pants with the black sweater. I have fairly narrow shoulders, and the sweater would help balance that.
You also demonstrate how shoes can make all the difference!
