Merry Christmas from Our Family to Yours!

Happy Wednesday, ladies! I can’t believe it’s only two sleeps until Christmas. Of course, I still have some wrapping to do and food to cook.

I also want to soak up the next few days with these sweet people below, so I’m taking a few days off for some family time and to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

This has not been an easy year for any of us. We’ve been reminded of how fragile we are and that life is short. More than ever, we should love well!

Left to Right: Cory, our son, Wayne, my husband, me, Colt, our grandson, Courtney, our daughter, Claire, our granddaughter, and AJ, our son-in-law.

Wayne and I have so much fun with Colt and Claire. They bring a lot of joy to our family.

I am beyond grateful for each of you too. Thank you for taking time out of your day, stopping by my blog, and supporting my business. I could not do this blog without YOU!

As I count my blessings, I count you as a blessing. I pray this year more than ever you feel the wonder of the Christmas season.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
I “tried” to enter your $100 gift

I am so thankful for my husband’s health. December 20, 2019 my husband was diagnosed with esophageal and stomach cancer and given a 10% chance of survival. Fast forward to December 2020 we are thankful for the amazing surgeon God placed in our lives. Joe had terrible chemo treatments, surgery during Covid, and 4 more chemos. It has been a difficult year but He is cancer free and working on trying to eat and get stronger.
God is faithful to those who cry out.

Thank you for your blog and your witness best wishes for a joyful & full filled New Year

  7. I am thankful that my daughter is home with us for Christmas this year, not hospitalized as she was last year until just a few days before Christmas.

  8. I am thankful for God’s faithfulness and provision. I got a new job after 2 years of unemployment days after learning my father had a fatal condition that was too complex for doctors to operate on. His wife went into the hospital the first week of the stay at home order and almost died before they could operate. Then one surgeon decided he could operate on my dad – it took 2 surgeries two months apart, but he fixed my dad. Then my dad (who takes blood thinners) ell, cut himself and almost bled out before getting to the hospital but got there just in time. It took 3 weeks for him to be stable enough to come home. And my father-in-law was diagnosed with dementia so he’s keeping us busy. We are SO glad to say good-bye to 2020 but we are SO thankful that the Lord saw us through some very tough and scary situations!

  9. Happy Holidays to you and your family. I am grateful for the strength and perseverance of my pastor throughout this pandemic. I am also thankful for your daily compassion and witness that you share with us daily.

  180. I am most grateful for having my Lord and Savior to have walked beside me this past year. While He has always been there, it has been a challenging year for all of us, and we were told our first grandchild could possibly be born with major issues. While we were all willing as believers to accept His will, it was so hard, but we trusted Him. The Lord heard our prayers and we now have a precious, normal, healthy baby boy, thank you to answered prayers and His will! It is easy to praise Him now but I would like to believe that thru this I have learned to accept His will and way, no matter what the outcome may be. I have grown as a believer and praise Him more and more each day!! What a wonderful Christmas we will all have with our precious grand baby, celebrating our Savior!!! Merry Christmas to you and yours!!! He reigns!!!

  190. It is wonderful to see your beautiful family and to hear about your fun times with them. I am thankful for technology! My daughter and son in law live in Sydney, Australia. So getting to see faces and hear voices is a godsend. My grandson just turned 3. He has a baby brother born May of 2020. I was to go and help my daughter with the babies in April and spend a few months with them. Unfortunately Australia locked down and non-citizens are not permitted into the country. Fortunately I can watch the babies grow via FaceTime, Facebook portal and Zoom. My arms just ache to hold that new baby who is now 7 months old. Thank you for bringing light into our difficult days.

  191. This Christmas I am so thankful for the time we’ve spent together this past year. 208. I am thankful that this year is almost over. It has been a rough one. I cannot believe how many crises our family has had this past year. Last night I said goodbye to my FIL who died of COVID complications and cancer. So, I have not felt the Christmas spirit. It feels like the year without a Christmas. I don’t even have any decorations up this year. I don’t want to be the depressing person who leaves a comment here. I will say that your emails and blog posts everyday gave me something fun and positive to distract myself through the trials this year. Your words that told me Christ is with us and will get us through anything were a good reminder to trust in Him – always. Although this year has been difficult, I have hope for the next year. Let me just say that these pictures of your family are just beautiful. I hope that you all have a Blessed Christmas.

I am thankful for the love of Jesus and the joy knowing Him brings. He is there with me through the good times and the bad times. Although this has been a difficult year, I’m so grateful that I can go to Him for strength and comfort.

    Big hugs to you!

    Amanda

  229. What I’m most thankful for is salvation. God gave us a beautiful world to live in, food, water, families. We have homes, cars, great clothes, money, and so much more. But what if Jesus had never been born to become the ultimate and final sacrifice? What if all we had waiting for us when we drew our last breath was an eternity of darkness without Him? Thank you, Lord for your life and work on the cross. This is the ultimate Christmas gift.

  230. Merry Christmas, Cyndi! I am so grateful I “found” you on the internet years ago when I needed fresh ideas on how to dress for a mature Christian woman. I’ve appreciated your honesty and inspiration in your posts.

  231. Thanks Cyndi, for all you do to keep us ladies up to date fashion and also for pointing us to Christ through your blog. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family 💕😊.

  232. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family. I truly am thankful for you and the inspiration you are. I look forward to your blog daily and respect that you are taking time away from that to be with your family and celebrate Jesus!!

    1. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I am thankful for the little things that mean so much now. A Christmas card from a friend that I haven’t heard from in years, a homemade treat from a neighbor, seeing an outdoor nativity during a time when a lot of us aren’t attending indoor worship. Things we have often taken for granted, we realize how precious it is and it gives us hope for better days ahead.

  233. So very thankful for family. Our oldest son’s wife gave birth to our first grandchild this month, such a special ending to this crazy year.
What a beautiful family you have, Merry Christmas to you all.

Thank you! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

  237. Cyndi, you’re a beautiful soul and your family is beautiful. Wishing each of you a blessed and Merry Christmas. Yes, it’s much different this year but praying we NEVER have another year like this one! It will just be my husband and me. and that’s so sad. We have a daughter & son in law practically next door to us and a son, daughter in law and grandson in Charlotte, NC. Just won’t happen this year! We’re very blessed ourselves though and in a way, this is a more meaningful Christmas, celebrating the birth of Jesus! That’s what it’s all about anyway!

  238. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!
I am thankful to have ladies like you in my life helping me through this trying year. I have learned a great deal from you and for that I am grateful. I am also thankful that I will be able to celebrate another Christmas with my almost 86 year old mother.

  274. I am so thankful for salvation! April 6, 1980 I gave my heart and life to Jesus Christ. Through the years He has been my strength and my guide. In Sept of 2003 I fell away from God because of a bitter divorce. I lived back as my old self for 10 months. I rededicated my life to Christ once again in July of 2004 and I was blessed beyond measure. This year of course, no thanks to Covid, has been a hard, heartbreaking year. Especially earlier this month. We lost a member of our family by tragedy. But God is a good God who is pulling us through day by day. I also thank God for my 5 beautiful children, my awesome 3 stepchildren and my 19 grandchildren in all! Also I have had the pleasure and opportunity to take care of my elderly mother as of Aug 2020. God is good and He is our source of strength, help, guidance and comfort in a time of uncertainty. Thank you for your blog every morning. I am blessed by it and pray God will continue to bless this ministry that He has placed you in for us woman of God. God bless you and your family!

Your family is so beautiful, Cyndi. Colt is growing up so much!!!

  294. Merry Christmas to you and your family. In this crazy year there were many valuable lessons to be learned. I hope they are remembered, and that the “new normal” is kinder, more inclusive, more just, and more loving. Writing that last sentence I realize what I am hoping for as the new normal is a more spiritual world. Thank you for brightening and lightening an otherwise dark year.

  295. I am thankful for Jesus, and that He loved us so much that He gave his life for us. I am thankful for this Holy Season. Still, I find it in my heart to be thankful for the little things God has chosen to bring to light through the darkness. I know the Lord helps me each day as well.
Merry Christmas and lets pray 2021 is better for everyone!

  327. I am most thankful for Jesus and my family. This has been a hard year. My 20 year old niece was killed by a drunk driver that hit her car head on in her lane. She loved the Lord and left behind her journals of His great love and a note to her dad. She told him if she was gone to find his way to Jesus so they could spend eternity in heaven together. My brother in law, her dad was saved at her funeral. My heart breaks for my sister and brother in law but in this darkest time of our lives, we have truly seen Jesus and His grace. I have learned to not take our time together for granted but truly know we have eternity if we have Jesus! I know when the angels stopped to rejoice when her dad got saved, our beautiful Ray Ray was rejoicing the loudest for now all of her family will one day be with her and Jesus. I am so thankful for our home in heaven!

  328. What a beautiful family! There is truly nothing better. Wishing you a very blessed and Merry Christmas!!! XO

  329. I am thankful that we were forced to slow down and stay home and re-connect it never would have happened without this pandemic…..silver lining, I guess

Tomorrow night we will take out the bible my Great grandfather read from in the tiny church in rural Ontario Canada. When the church closed they gave the bible to my mom and then it came to me. My son and daughter have carried this bible to church and read (Luke) for several years. This year we will be doing it at home.

  341. Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year! I am thankful that my family has remained healthy through this pandemic, especially my daughter who is an ER nurse.

  342. Thanks for the gift card give away!! I was unable to leave a comment but wanted to say thank you. This has been such a challenging year and I have enjoyed getting to know you thru your blog. It doesn’t seem like Christmas to me as my boyfriend and I have both had covid for 2 weeks. No presents … no tree… no family. But much more to be thankful for. In this season where we all want to be happy – it has been a pretty depressing season. And to top it off .. my 91 year old aunt passed away alone last week and we got thru the 3rd anniversary of my dad passing on12/21.
