Tuesday Try-On Session

Hi ladies! I hope your week is off to a great start. We started yesterday morning with some light snow; I’m ready for spring! Haha!

Today I’m sharing a try-on session with some pretty sweaters and blouses. It’s a mix of clothes from Old Navy, Express, Evereve, and Amazon.

This relaxed fit turtleneck sweater comes in several colors, but this deep magenta color is so pretty and cheery this time of year. I styled it with high rise black pants and booties for a dressier look.

Next, this waffle-knit swear from Old Navy is so comfy. I’m wearing the mauve color, but there’s plenty of colors (click the regular size) to choose from. It has drop shoulders and a hi-lo hem.

Evereve is one 0f my favorite stores, but they have higher-end brands. This camo pullover is soft and looks great with jeans and sneakers.

I styled this ivory sweater with utility pants and tan boots in this picture. This sweater comes in several colors and is a tunic length.

This is the same outfit as above, but I styled it with Sam Edelman Heels.

This is the cutest blouse with smocked detail on the sleeve. It also has a ruffle neckline. The blouse would be perfect for workwear.

Crew Neck Top with Smocked Detail (I’m wearing a size 4)//High Rise Connie Ankle Skinny (I’m wearing a size 4)//Earrings//Bracelet//Black Booties//Ring

This is another pretty blouse for workwear. It has black piping down the side, neckline, and sleeves. It also has covered buttons on the sleeves. I think it runs slightly big so if you’re in between sizes, size down.

Contrast Piping Detail Blouse (I’m wearing a small, but it’s big, so I would size down)//High Rise Connie Ankle Skinny (I’m wearing a size 4)//Earrings//Bracelet//Suede Pump//Ring

I don’t always love a sweatshirt, but this one is so soft, and I can see why it’s selling out of sizes in all colors.

Another pretty pink sweater, a great option for Valentine’s Day.

I love a chunky knit sweater, and this one comes in a ton of colors; I’m wearing the charcoal heather color. It’s a good length and has a loose hemline.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~ What if we entered into each moment of life knowing that everywhere we go and everything we do, our purpose is for people to see God in us, to sense His presence, to be drawn toward His Spirit at work in our smile and posture and handshake and greeting.

We can’t change people’s lives, but God can. We can’t make a lot of difference, but God can. We don’t have much important to say, but God does.

And it doesn’t take Him long to say it when His presence and anointing are on us. When obedience to Him defines the way we make every next choice. -Priscilla Shirer

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi just wanted to say love all your fashion ideas. Unfortunately living in the UK I cannot buy any of the items, as it would cost so much for shipping. But I will keep reading all your articles on style advice. Having been in lockdown for so long it’s just so nice to see other people having a normal life kind regards .
Ps. Thanks for bringing some cheer .

  2. You mentioned that the boyfriend jeans run big. They’re supposed to. They’re actually supposed to fit loose/baggy. 🙂

  3. Hi, I wonder if you might consider having one side of your hair behind your shoulder when showing tops. It is hard to see the neck and shoulder detail, like with the blouse today with the piping at the neck. Thanks for considering.

    1. Yaaaas! I was going to ask the same thing! I couldn’t see the neckline of that ON boatneck sweater. I ended up going to my local Old Navy (the horror! Lol) to actually get a look at it and bought it there. I would rather just click the link in your blog post to purchase it online.

  4. I love the Old Navy waffle weave. I almost bought it in red yesterday. I wasn’t in the mood to try on and wasn’t sure how it would fit. Now that I’ve seen it on, I will rethink it!

  5. The BFTH is great. I love Pricilla Shirer. I’ve done many of her bible studies. I highly recommend “The Armor of God” study. My desire right now in these Covid days, is to be this LIGHT she is talking about……leading others toward HIM. I just am trying to figure out ways to do this when I’m so isolated at home and only seeing my kids at this time. I try to connect through phone, letter, card, email, text, to encourage, as that is what I like to do and I feel compassion and mercy are my gifts. I know if we are open to HIM and want to do HIS work, HE will show us and give us the divine appointments with others. It may just be in the grocery store at this point. 🙂 You look great in all the outfits in this post. Thanks for your hard work to give us some fun fashion during these days.

  6. Love your choices of casual looks. I love animal prints and camo. I’m trying to find my style. How would you style jewelry? I don’t want to over do it. All I wear these days are joggers! So comforable.

  7. Love all these looks but I must say my favorite looks are the camo sweater and those sneakers from evereve and the black tunic sweatshirt from Amazon! Great price varieties.

  8. Love try-on sessions – so informative and love to see how you style the tops. The Amazon oversized turtleneck is sold out in ivory in medium, but I think I will order the light gray. That would look nice with black or gray leggings/jeggings. It seems to fit you higher at the neck than the model. I like it as it fits you since on the model, it looks like she needs a necklace or something, but that is hard to style with a loose turtleneck.

  9. Thank you for taking the time to do a try on haul. Those are my favorite posts! I can always find something I like for me. All the outfits look great on you!
