Day 3 Spring Fashion: How to Style Neutrals for Spring

Happy hump day! I’m back today with another spring outfit, and it’s how to style neutrals for spring. We love to add color in spring and summer, but there’s something soothing about wearing neutrals.

This year neutrals are having a moment…..you might want to add some gray, white, buttercream, rich dark brown, black, or toffee to your spring wardrobe.

I love a blazer, and this double-breasted blazer is a classic style.

This structured handbag can be carried with the handle, or it also has an adjustable and removable strap. The color is called natural (it looks blush in these pictures).

I’m wearing my favorite camisole with this blazer. I also added two necklaces, a chain necklace, and an initial necklace.

My jeans are from WHBM, and they are a soft denim, and they have a 70s vibe. I ordered the long length because I wanted to wear heels with these jeans (I’m 5’5″).

Double Breasted Blazer (I’m wearing a small)//Camisole (I’m wearing a small)//Extra High-Rise Skinny Flare Jeans (I’m wearing a size 4 long, which is TTS for this brand)//Sunglasses//Earrings//Handbag//Sam Edelman Heels (similar option here)//Kendra Scott Bracelet in Gold & Silver//Chain Necklace//Initial Necklace

Here is another neutral option for early spring:

Sweater (I’m wearing a small)//Utility Pant (I’m wearing a size 6)//Earrings//Bracelets//Sneakers//Necklace//Necklace (similar option here)

Now, head to Jo-Lynne Shane and see what she’s styling for our 23 Day of Spring Fashion!

  1. Cyndi, is the I in your last name a long I? I like to pronounce names correctly. I love those jeans, and neutrals dominate my closet. You look great!

  2. The WHBM website says the inseam for the long length is 35″. That seems really long for a 5’5″ woman. My inseam for straight leg jeans is 30″ and I’m 5’7″. I would like to order these to wear with heels, but think the regular length at 33″ would be more than enough. Confused!!!

  3. Love this look. Those jeans are really cute and I usually don’t like flare. You are tall enough to pull them off and the heel and pointed toe is a must for flare…..my opinion anyways. Love seeing the Spring series. Today is sunny and 50’s and I’m loving it. Time to get outside to weed. Not loving weeding but anything to be outside.

  4. Still not receiving emails. I have even signed up again. Got welcome email but nothing since. Not in spam either

  5. Such a pretty look!!!! Can’t wait to copy it with things i already have in my closet!!! Thanks for the inspo!!! two things: Can you show us what to wear with the flair jeans that are a flat/sandle??? and i notice the “close to the middle part”!!! I just can’t make it work!! LOL Possibly a tutorial in the future????? Thanks!!!

    1. Bonnie, I struggle with flats and flare jeans. I think if you’re going to wear flats, they would look best with a pointed toe flat.
Also, I’m trying to move my part towards the middle but I don’t know that I will do a straight middle part.

  6. I just ordered the blazer in the white. If it fits well, I will order it in the blue as well! It looks great on you! I love the jeans as well but I just can’t justify spending that much on jeans. 🙁

  7. Love the spring outfits! Can you tell me if the sweater is the white or the oatmeal? Thank you.

    1. Great outfit! Your scripture reference for today is one of my favorite Bible truths! A woman must always remember to reach out, with determined Faith, to Jesus!

  8. Neutrals are my favorite to wear year around. Such a classy outfit and those jeans make your legs long a mile long 😉 I think I’ll order that purse because it looks more expensive that it is and would be a great spring addition.

  9. I love the retro jeans with heels, and that bag is super cute. Looks much pricier than it actually is. YAY! XO

  10. I can’t believe that blazer is from Walmart! Love the buttons! I’m also liking the neutral look this year.. it’s such a soft look.. question is the sweater you’re wearing in the second look the oatmeal color?

  11. WHBM has stepped up their game on jeans. These are so unique and chic looking. I picked them up because they have a great waistline style and will help dress up my western boots. I would love to see other jean makers begin glamorizing the waistline of jeans to bring us more options. This was a chic look, keep them coming with high and low cost options.

  12. Love the flare jeans and the 70’s vibe! It even looks like your hair is more of a middle part in this picture. .

  13. Great start to the spring styles! I have loved all you have shown so far. One tiny complaint…I continue to get the subscriber pop-up. Is there any way to get rid of it?

  14. You look great in these outfits! Can you remove the belt on the jeans? Some may not want the extra fabric at their tummy! I love the second outfit as it would definitely be something I’d wear every day this spring
