Day 4 Spring Fashion: How to Style a Floral Blouse

Hi ladies! If there is one thing I love to wear in the spring, it’s a floral blouse. This one I’m styling today is from LOFT, and it’s 40% off.

The blouse has so many pretty colors in it, and they’re all colors that are popular this year. The blouse also has smocking in the front around the neckline.

One thing to note about floral blouses is smaller-scale prints are better for looking slim (I haven’t always followed that rule.)

I styled the blouse with these cute double strap braided sandals from Target. I’m seeing these braided straps a lot this spring.

My jeans are designer-brand jeans and on the higher end. I have two pairs of this brand of jeans, and I like the fit. Also, these are mid-rise if you’re not a fan of high-rise jeans.

This ruched bag is perfect for spring, and I love the light beige color. It also has a magnetic closure.

  1. Wow today is also my mother’s 77th birthday she passed this July and as much as I love your fashion part of the blog BFTH is my favorite I share it so often with my small ladies group…I have followed you for 6 years now and my children actually think we look alike…now I know God brought this blog to me to help me through this loss of my own mother…thank you cyndi for what you do…

    1. I am usually a similar size to you. Can I ask what size you did in the Toni Agolde? Also if it works to link the other pair of Agolde did you do same size in those jeans as well?

  2. Very cute outfit!! You lost your Mom at a young age… I’m sure you miss her very much…this is where our faith that works in his will has to in our hearts… Lost my Dad when he was 40 and I was 7 we were blessed to have mom for many years

  3. Hi Cyndi, this is such a cute outfit. I love the oversized clutch! Definitely could see myself using this a lot this spring. The memories we have for our loved ones who have passed are truly precious to us. My dad passed away from cancer a little over 14 years ago. He passed away on his birthday and he saw Jesus before he died. Even though I know he is in heaven I sure do miss him as you miss your mom. May God bless and comfort you and your family!

  4. Hi Cyndi, do you mind saying what size you are wearing in these jeans? You said they are TTS but you’ve worn a couple different sizes depending on the brand so I don’t what is your true size. I like these particular jeans because they are mid rise which is a bit hard to find lately. Thank you. Hopee you have a nice family visit.

  5. PS. Could you do a post after the Spring series on what you kept from the series. I’m
always curious what you send back.

  6. So cute. I love a good blouse. I bought the blue Gibson ruffle sleeve one you posted. Waiting for somewhere to wear it. Enjoy your time with family visiting your mom. Precious memories to share. She left a great legacy. You and your family are proof. It’s been 23 yrs since I lost my dad from a fall from a ladder. He was only 63 yrs old. Miss him too. Loosing my mom slowly with dementia. God gets me through the rough times for sure.

  7. Cyndi,

I really like the look of this outfit, dressy but causal at the same time. I know what it’s like to lose your mom, I was 28 when I lost mine. That was 30 years ago and to this day I still miss her.
Your mom did a great job with you and I know you’ll pass that legacy down to your daughter and granddaughter. Blessings!

  8. I love this simple but beautiful outfit. This is exactly how I dress for work. A nice blouse and jeans that aren’t distressed. I also love that you paired some designer jeans with Target shoes. But unfortunately the shoes are sold out in most sizes. Maybe they will restock them or I’ll pop into target and see if they still have some?
I go to the cemetery on my moms bday too but I think I’ll go now that the weather is better. Your mom would be so proud of you 💕
