Day 19 Spring Fashion: Winter To Spring Transitional Pieces

Tremendous thanks to Nordstrom and Shopstyle for sponsoring this post.

Hi ladies! Now that we are officially into spring, I like to add transitional pieces to my spring wardrobe. We can’t go from winter boots and coats to shorts and sandals here in Kentucky.

We kind of ease into spring, and it’s essential to have a wardrobe that can seamlessly transition between the cool and warm days.

Nordstrom has plenty of transitional pieces to choose from, and today I’m sharing some of my favorites!

It’s no secret that I love a crisp white blouse, and this one from Madewell has cuffed short sleeves and a curved hem.

I did a front tuck and left the back out. It’s a perfect mix of slouchy and tailored.

One thing I always have on hand is a spring jacket or cardigan. You never know how quickly the weather will change and I don’t like to be cold.

This Madewell cardigan is soft and just-a-touch cropped. (The cardigan comes in plus size.)

Now that spring is here; I’m ready to add some lighter, cropped jeans to my wardrobe. These jeans are from Wit & Wisdom, and I love the fit and feel.

They look great with these mules, but they’ll also look great with sandals.

Speaking of shoes, mules are a great transitional shoe. It’s not always warm enough for sandals, and these Treasure & Bond mules are the perfect color (brown caramel), and I love the stacked heel.

Cardigans are such a good option for spring. You can wear them with a shirt, or you can wear them by themself, buttoned up.

This is such a pretty time of year, and I’m ready to transition my wardrobe to spring!

Beauty for the Heart~~ What if everything broken doesn’t have to be completely fixed for us to be completely fine?

We can be scared and brave and frail and unbelievably strong, all in the same leap of faith. We can be hurt. But we don’t have to live hurt.

We can choose to believe in the epic goodness of God to completely surprise us with breathtakingly awesome possibilities.

  1. I have that white top too and it’s so good. It’s my second one of that same style. Happy weekend!! XOXO

  2. This outfit is sooo me. You nailed it. Just bought the jeans and mules. I usually wear a size 4 in jeans but they only had a 2, so going to try them as my last Wit and Wisdom jeans from years ago, stretched out and I only like to wear them once before washing. Hope these fit. I need some update jeans for Spring. Love the pink sweater on you. Wish they had it restocked. I would have bought the blouse, but wanted to try in store, as I might need the XXsmall. I’m shorter than you.

  3. I love the sweet little sweater. 💗 Your jeans look a touch big when you put your hands in the pockets. I was thinking they might stretch out with wear. Should one size down in these?

    1. Yes I probably could have sized down. But a looser fit is trending so I thought I could go with it. I’m going to wash them and hope they shrink a tad.

      1. Just read your reply after I commented about having to buy the size 2, as the 4 is out. Sounds like I might be okay with the size 2. Good to hear. I’m 5’3″ 118lbs.

    2. Joanna…..I thought I’d come back and comment to you about the Wit and Wisdom jeans. I almost always wear a size 4, but ordered these in a 2 because the 4 was sold out and Cyndi commented she could have gone down a size. I just got them and tried them on. They still are too loose and so I ordered a 0 just now. I think the jean is cute, but the waist area like on Cyndi showed too big and the rest looked okay but not tight enough to start out before stretching out. I hate when jeans bag out, so want to try the size 0 which I never wear. I’m 5’3″ 120lbs. for reference. Hope this helps. I also ordered the mules and LOVE them. They are true to size and are so comfortable with the block heel. Easy to walk in too.

  4. You look beautiful….. Hope you have a blessed Easter with your loved ones. I have one question,,,,,, When you are wearing your cardigan do you tuck your white shirt in the back or leave it hanging?

  5. Such a pretty color in the cardigan! Love this look. I also would like a link to your devotional if possible:)

  6. Oh how I love the BFTH word from Lysa! That is how I feel that I am living now.

    Cute spring outfit!!

    Blessings!
