Hi ladies! The weather is warming up, and I think most of us are ready to swap out our loungewear for some lighter and more feminine styles. There’s nothing better in my opinion than some pretty dresses. So today, I’m sharing some of my favorite dresses for Women over 40.

I ordered dress # row 2 (Navy sheath dress) from JC Penney. I haven’t shopped there in years. I love the colors in it and plan to wear it to an upcoming Spring event.
I’m more of a sheath type but they do tend to be more dressy/formal. I also like midi/maxi. Babydoll dresses are having a moment and are so very cute but at my age I’ll have to pass.

I have such a hard time finding petite casual pants for work and I want to start transitioning out of jeans. So these dresses are a nice alternative.
I’m loving the babydoll look this season.. also the maxi dress ( I order petite length) it hits at the right spot above my ankle that way. I’ve purchased a few new dresses already.. Any suggestions for cute cooler dresses for say sitting out by the pool or lunch after the beach if you don’t want to stay in your bathing suit or shorts? Love the picture of Colt and Claire 💕

Hi Cyndi. First, what an adorable picture of your grandkids. Thanks for sharing. 2 nd, what size did you get in the Old Navy stripe dress? Also, have you washed it yet and how did it hold up. I think it would be a good alternative to shorts, as I don’t like to wear shorts much and I usually take your size or go down one as I’m shorter. 5’3”. Thanks
I’m wearing a size small. I have washed it but I did not dry it, I hung it up. and it did fine.
