Weekly Try-On: Old Navy, Target, & Amazon

Happy hump day, ladies! Today I’m sharing my weekly try-on with you. I share these on my Instastories every week and take these pictures for the blog.

Try-On: Old Navy, Target, & Amazon

First up, I have an outfit from Old Navy, and it’s a good one! I love these utility ankle pants. They are so comfortable, and they come in several different colors.

The striped tank top also comes in different colors and has lots of 5-star reviews. It’s oversized and slightly flowy.

This cute top is from Target. I’m wearing the white floral; it also comes in a green floral.

Puff Elbow Sleeve Blouse (I’m wearing a small)//Wit & Wisdom Jeans (I’m wearing a size 4, TTS)//Necklace//Sandals (TTS)//Earrings

I wore this top yesterday, and it’s a pretty spring blouse and, of course, comfortable.

3/4 Sleeve Embroidered Ruffle Top (I’m wearing a small)//Kut from the Kloth Jeans (I’m wearing a size 2, they run big, I sized down)//Tan Mules (TTS)//Earrings

Loungewear is still going strong, and I like this shorts set. Great for wearing around the house in spring and summer.

Ruffle-style dresses are trending this year. When they’re this frilly, I like to wear a strappy heel, so it doesn’t look so much like Little House on the Praire.

If you’re headed on a tropical vacation, this is a great option. I love these colors!

Oh my, this dress is so comfortable! I like the blue; it will be great to wear over Memorial Weekend.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.

Beauty For the Heart~~ It’s easy to let anger and bitterness take hold of us. Whether it’s a painful memory or an unkind word spoken by a friend or a family member.

But we can live differently. We can allow God to take captive of those thoughts (2 Cor. 10:5) that hurt us or cause us to be bitter. We can turn down that voice and turn up the voice of God.

Romans 12:14 says, Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them.

Are you allowing bitterness to take hold of you?

Let your beauty shine from the inside out today!

  1. I love the puff sleeve trend, but have yet to find a top with puff sleeves that work for me. They just don’t work on my petite frame. Give me all the ruffles tho!! They’re so pretty and feminine!!
I love everything you’ve styled here, Cyndi! Thank you for sharing the pretty spring trends with us.

  2. Does that bohemian floral from amazon run big? The sizing chart looks that way? Also would that be a hot dress in summer heat?

  3. Cyndi, I love the sleeveless smock dress from Target! The reviews stated the dress shrunk quite a bit after washing. Have you washed yours yet?

    1. Deborah, I loved this dress too but too many bad reviews saying it shrunk significantly after washing and hanging to dry so a no for me.

  4. Cindy: I have received your blog in my email for several years, however, a few weeks ago I stopped receiving it. (And no it is not in my spam). I signed up for your blog again, nothing. What’s going on? I miss seeing your blog hit my email everyday!

      1. Cyndi same thing with my email. I received your posts for a couple years. Now it has stopped.

  5. I am broad shouldered, so I stay away from the ruffles and puffs that make my shoulders wider. I just have to pick the trends that work for me.

  6. Cyndi, you look fabulous in all of these outfits & ready for summer!
I have a question about footwear. When it is noted TTS, does that mean what our feet measure? I measure 8 1/2. I almost always wear a 9 in all styles because I believe we are to allow that 1/2 inch-?! I ordered some sandals that said TTS thinking 8 1/2 but they looked short, not right. What is typically meant by TTS?
    Enjoy your warmer weather! 🙂

  7. These all look fabulous on you! I really like the short set loungewear and the Bohemian Floral Print. While the baby doll style and puff sleeves are very current, they’re not for me (figure, age, and lifestyle reasons) Thanks for doing these Try-On posts!

  8. Thank you for working to share trends with us! It’s so nice to see them from the comfort and convenience of home! Your a blessing, and a positive, Jesus-loving influencer!

  9. Love these looks Cyndi. I’m 53 and don’t mind the ruffles and baby doll look. It’s how it’s styled that matters. The only one I’d probably avoid is the longer ruffled dress as I’m only 5’3!

  10. Cyndi you look cute in everything but the style dresses just too young for me at age 59. I would wear the Target blue smock though. Good alternative instead of shorts.

    1. The smocked dress from Target looks so cute, but when I read the reviews on the website, multiple women said it shrunk when washed, and they wouldn’t have purchased it. So, a no go for me.

    2. I’m 59 and I would wear them. I hate to wear dresses so I won’t be wearing them, but if I had a need for a cute dress I would consider 2 of the 3.

  11. I find all these ruffles and baby doll dresses that influencers are posting too young for anyone over twenty. Best left to children or teenagers IMHO I know it’s a current trend but not all trends are meant for all ages.

The Floral print maxi with the flutter sleeves is adorable. Such a fun print!

      1. I agree, also. I find all those ruffles and the baby style too young for me. And, they also overwhelm my petite size. I prefer a classic style of clothes.
