Be A Light

Happy Sunday, friends! I hope you’re enjoying your weekend. We had a beautiful and warm day yesterday, and I wore shorts for the first time this year.

I don’t have anything specific to write today on my Sunday post. It’s more of a collage of thoughts, things that have caught my attention over the past week.

I read something on someone’s Facebook page about how she didn’t trust anyone with all that’s going on in the world. I read it and thought, what a sad way to live life.

It seems like more than ever; we are quick to judge, quick to anger, and quick to point fingers. Where has our respect for each other gone?

The verse that has been on my mind this week is Ephesians 6:12, For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

This verse tells us we aren’t fighting with people. There’s more going on that we can’t see.

I still choose to see the good. I choose to believe that kindness is always the best option. I choose to be a light.

In the same way, let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father, who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

While I know life is not perfect, bad things happen, and it seems like so much around us is changing, let’s shine brightly for Jesus.

This week I’ve been listening to this on Spotify…

  1. H Cyndi,

I need to buy the curling iron you use to make your hair curly and wavy. You used it on an Instagram video but I do not know the brand or anything. Thank you for your help with this!

    Debbie

  2. I live in South Carolina. If they need any information or help with SC closing or questions. Just email me.

  3. Just had to say that you are a blessing to your friends in their moving transition. We had dear friends , likeyou, that offered their summer home to us for 2 weeks in December for our out of state move. We didn’t want to impose. We are SO grateful and blessed by them
God bless you girl as you love on them in this stressful season. God sees and smiles

  4. Dear Cyndi, my children and I decided I would get off of Facebook and Instagram for a bit as it seemed to add to my anxiety and maybe a lil depression. I honestly see a diff in how I feel but wanted you to know I missed your uplifting posts! So I got back on Instagram and only allowed a few and of course, you were one of them! Thanks for not being shy about your relationship with Jesus! And I have learned a lot about clothes etc from your influence. Keep on shining!

    1. You don’t have to be on Instagram to enjoy Cyndi. I just get her through my email. A real blessing not to be on those sites. Made a difference in me too

  5. Cyndi, you are spot on. People are really hurting and unsure of things right now. We just need to be the light to these people and not judge them, but help them walk through their struggles. Happy Sunday!

  6. Love your thoughts today and the song is perfect for those kids graduating today and in the coming weeks.. Be a Light! Thank you, Cyndi,
for your words of wisdom every day.

  7. We just moved to SC a few weeks ago…Clemson…from Chattanooga. Enjoy your time with your friends! So tricky with the housing market to be able to time moves right now.
