Hi ladies! When I packed for our trip this week, I packed my makeup bag with my must-have items. I’ve transitioned my makeup routine for summer and it’s quick and easy.
Of course, I use sunscreen. I recently shared the 5 Best Face Sunscreens to Try, I’m using Skin Medica Essential Defense.
Easy Ways to Transition Your Makeup Routine for Summer
Yes, you can wear a foundation during summer. With the right formula, your makeup won’t melt off. I’m using Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. This foundation is buildable, lightweight, fade-resistant, and it doesn’t feel too thick or cakey.
I recently switched my concealer to Nars Creamy Concealer. It’s medium coverage and long-wearing.
This milk makeup is great for some contouring. I add it to my cheekbones, under my chin, and my forehead.
Tartelette In Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette is one of my favorite eye shadows. Most days, I do one swipe of the sweetheart color over my eyelid.
I use this eyeliner on my top lash line and then add eyeshadow to my bottom lash line.
This Sephora mascara adds volume and fullness to my eyelashes.
I use this pretty liquid blush for a hint of color on my cheeks. It’s very pigmented. I put a dot on the back of my hand and then use my fingertips and add some color to my cheeks.
I finish with this Tatcha Setting Powder. It’s so lightweight, and I add some in my t-zone area and under my eyes.

Yes, I also transition to summer makeup. Sometimes BB foundation but always a lighter formula.
We have been in high humidity spots on vacation and I am ready to return to dry (West Texas).
High humidity seems to melt everything off 😊
Do you still use two different concealers under the eye, or are you just using the Nars now?
Right now I’m just using Nars. 🙂
How do you keep your under eyeliner on? I currently use Stila waterproof black liner but within an hour or so, it’s dotted and transparent in places. Even worse when I use any type of pencil. Non existent.
Does that pencil liner last for you? Maybe it’s aging eyes, but would be nice to find a solution. 🙂

YES!! I do lighten up in the summer, and have already started transitioning!! I dont do self tanner on my face either!!! I do allow some sun on my face but do use sunscreen and a hat always! Omgoodness that eyeshadow pallet is a must have!!!! Have a wonderful trip, and share pics!!!
I have a friend that lives in Franklin and my husband and I have been once, it was SO beautiful!! I wanted to move there! (but not realistically…)

I do generally lighten up my makeup routine some in the summer. I just purchased some new makeup from Seint and am excited to try it all out!

My sister and I are going to Franklin in a couple of weeks. We’re staying in a B&B and will explore the area. Nashville is one of my favorite places to visit. If you could recommend good eating place in Franklin that would be great.
