Fall Color Trend to Try: Soybean

Hi ladies! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. We stayed pretty busy, and we had some beautiful weather. I love warm fall weekends!

Today I’m teaming up with Jo-Lynne again to share another fall color trend-soybean. This color stumped me a bit, and I had difficulty finding anything in a soybean color. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Here’s how the soybean color is described: A blonde beige color that is friendly and social. I like the friendly and social part, but blonde beige is not a good color for this olive skin girl.

I’m not sure my blazer is soybean, but it does have a yellowish tint in person.

This blazer is sold out (of course!), but I paired it with a Nordstrom graphic tee and Loft jeans.

I’m wearing black mules from Amazon. These mules come in several different colors.

Have you tried the soybean color for fall? (The graphic tee is pulling some purple, but it’s not purple. The tee is black with white wording.)

Level 99 Blazer (sold out, similar option here) • Gratitude Graphic Tee (I’m wearing a small) • Black mulesLoft Jeans (curvy fit, I’m wearing a size 26) • EarringsSunglasses

I found some more pieces online that I felt represented the soybean color.

Make sure you head over to Jo-Lynne Shane to see how she is styling the color soybean.

  1. I don’t think this is my color, but it is the exact color of our last couch! It is definitely a warm and friendly color that looks beautiful in the golden light of fall, but not on my body, unfortunately. Maybe in a leopard shoe?

  2. Hi Cyndi! This color would not look good up by my face. I have white hair, blue eyes, and light skin so I think it might cast a yellow tone on my face. It’s not a color I would choose except maybe for an accessory but it would be a very small one. Not my favorite.😅

  3. I bought a pair of jeans in this shade because I needed pants to go with browns and they fit my hard-to-fit petite frame well. I would have preferred a more neutral color, andI need to keep it away from my face. You put together a cute outfit with this color, which seems challenging for many of us.

  4. I feel the same way you do about this color. It makes me look awful. On the right person it would probably be great. I have dark brown hair and green eyes with olive skin.

I would like to see how to wear the mustard/yellow that is out.

  5. OK-I am so not a soybean color girl unless it is with animal print close to my blonde hair and fair skin. But I LOVE me some fall booties, boots, handbags in this color! They all make me so happy!

  6. Cindy,
I enjoy your posts so much. They are the kind I can go back and reread time and time again. Your posts have variety but are still mainly about fashion which is my primary reason for liking your site so much.
    Thanks so much,
    Paulette

  7. You make that color look good. I think it takes a brunette to wear it if anybody can. I have blonde hair and would definitely be washed out in it.
    Thanks for styling it.

  8. I actually have the shacket from Amazon that you shared in the brown in a color that is close to the soybean color, as well as the brown one. I also have a few other pieces in this color. Glad to know it’s an “in” color.

  9. Love the outfit, but there is no way I would look good with that color on. I have a medium/tan skin tone color and that would just wash me out. I really have to be careful with the fall colors, which I dislike because I love them…🤦🏽‍♀️

  10. Well, I’m olive skinned as well, and I know I would look terrible in that color. I have to be careful with even just khaki, with a scarf close to my face of something. I’m afraid that soybean is not going to find a place in my wardrobe :-). Amy

  11. Being cool toned clear skin, soybean doesn’t flatter me either. Then on top of that I highlight my hair so a blog of soybean I would appear, ha! Maybe they will come up with some better ones.. 🙂

  12. Cute color but I agree with you, I’m not drawn to it, not one of my favs. You did right by adding it in a blazer. It adds that pop of color for Fall without being over powering to the outfit.

    1. Yeah I can see where this can be a tricky color but I do like the way you’ve styled it and the blazer really takes the look up a notch!
