Fall Fashion: Crop Flare Jeans

Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post. As always, all selections and opinions are my own.

Today I’m sharing my latest fall denim crush: Crop Flare Jeans from Walmart.

Walmart is a great place to shop for fall fashion. They have timeless yet on-trend styles with incredible quality. I’m so impressed with the cute pieces Walmart has for fall.

First, I’ve been looking to find a pair of crop flare jeans, and these Free Assembly Retro Flare Jeans are just what I was looking for, and they’re under $30.

I love the two front patch pockets and two back patch pockets.

I paired these jeans with a crewneck puff sleeve sweater. I’ve talked before about the puff sleeve trend, and this one has a super soft feel and comes in two colors.

Next, I paired these jeans with an off-white turtleneck sweater. The sweater comes in several colors and is priced at $20.

I love the sleeve length of this sweater. You can easily add a utility jacket when the weather gets chilly.

These jeans will look so good with all your fall and winter sweaters. You can also wear a cute pair of booties.

  1. I had a pair of these jeans I wore this summer with wedge sandals. What are some options for colder months. Can I wear boots?

  2. What I would give to have a Walmart in Australia. I LOVE this style, Have been looking everywhere, but no luck, and today when I wasn’t trying I found a pair of white denim ones. VICTORY . Mine 3 times the price of yours. Love them..

  3. Cyndi,

You are in my “old stomping’ grounds!” I was born and raised in Wichita Falls, TX (north of Ft. Worth near OK border.) Then I moved to Abilene and met my husband and his USAF career has taken us all over and now I’m CA ( help me 😩!) Just kidding- the weather here is really great! I look forward each day to your great fashion and positive encouragement!

    Proud Native Texan,
    Kendra

  4. I’m not sure i could pull off this look, as I’m only 5’4”. However, i really enjoy seeing different styles of jeans. I love retro styles, and these look so cute on you!
As for the second sweater you’re wearing, the short sleeved turtleneck. I’ve bought three of these sweaters in various colors, and I’ve been so impressed with the quality! They’re so soft, and they wash well without pilling. They look and feel very expensive. I receive compliments every time i wear one. Walmart definitely has cute clothes that are also well made!

  5. I’m on the fence about the jeans, but I do have a question about something unrelated if I may. My granddaughter is getting married in December and I’m having a very hard time finding a dress to wear that doesn’t look to formal (it’s a midday wedding) or too frumpy. Do you have any ideas for places to look for reasonably priced (under $100 – Preferably way under) dresses? I’m petite (5’3″) but I’m not always proportioned like a petite.

    1. I absolutely love Walmart’s Time and Tru brand. I have short shorts, shorts to the knee, capris, jeggins, regular jeans, all kinds of tops for all seasons and even shoes, all in every color they have available. They fit me perfectly, hold up well through multiple washings, and are a great price. (I am 5-8, 145 lbs.). In the past I have bought high end expensive pants from other stores but have found only the Time and Tru stay up on my waist and fit well. You have to buy Time and Tru clothes at the beginning of the seasons because styles, colors and sizes sell out really fast. It seems they have become the hottest ticket in town!

  6. Cyndi, you and your sister are beautiful people, both inside and out. I wish people would learn to be compassionate and considerate. If they see something that does not suit them, they should just move on and wait for something new tomorrow. There is no need to make negative comments. We should all try to follow the golden rule and do unto others as you would have them do unto you!
I hope you have a great and safe trip! Love following you!

  7. What a great look on you! You wear these jeans well and it was nice to see a few options for tops, too. Thank you for showing us some clothing from Walmart, I think you always find their better quality clothes.

  8. You look great in this style! It’s nice to be shown other options for those who want to give it a try whether it’s for you or not! I also love the puff sleeve trend! Happy travels! It’s fall like weather here in Canada today and the colors of the leaves 🍁 are gorgeous 🙌🏻

  9. PS. Is it hard to pack for a trip in an RV? Do you pack less? We plan to get one and do trips someday soon, but I told my husband how will we get big enough for me packing all my shoes. Lol. I like variety. Especially when traveling.

  10. Enjoy Fort Worth! I grew up there. If you get a chance eat at El Rancho Grande on the north side of Fort Worth near the Stock Yards. Wonderful Mexican food and amazing pralines!💕

    1. Another restaurant to try if you want fajitas is Joe T. Garcia’s. It’s by the stockyards and the outdoor seating area is what makes the restaurant. It’s a huge area and it’s absolutely beautiful. Get there early because the lines get long, and they only take cash or check. Enjoy Ft. worth! The weather has just turned cooler, so it will be really nice this week…in the 80’s

  11. Welcome to Fort Worth! It’s a beautiful day here. Hope you enjoy your visit and experience some Texas hospitality!

  12. I do not like the cropped flared jeans – they add heft, bulk and are most unflattering even on you and you are beautiful!!

    1. I agree. Nothing personal and I’m not being mean. It’s a comment on this fashion trend. I think Cyndi would want an honest opinion. I tried to wear this trend also and my daughter told me that it makes my legs look short. I have to agree.

  13. You look great in those jeans. You are average height and can carry that look. I’m too petite and would need a petite version with no pockets and a bit more narrow. I love the sweaters and jeans on you. It’s refreshing to see a new look. Personally I am tired of leggings and super skinny jeans and pants. I like Walmart’s Time and True brand They carry size 0-2 which fit me. I recently bought two cardigans. A couple of years ago I bought their skinny pants in several colors.

  14. I know this style is the new trend but I doubt that I will buy a pair because I don’t think they would be flattering for me at size 6, 5’4”. I may buy a boot cut however which would be more fitted through the thighs and look great with boots.

  15. Good Morning,
No matter the style you can pull it off! I am a petite size 6. I would never pull this off! I am not sure if this style Jean will stand the test of time.

    1. Boy, Some rather rude comments. People should just not say anything if not nice. I love these jeans and the sweaters you chose for them on you. You are the perfect height and the heels are perfect with them. I love seeing a different silhouette. I wish I could pull these jeans off. I’m too short and they’d not hit me the right length. I’ve never bought Walmart clothes before as always thought of their clothes as cheap and not going to hold up after one wash, but I guess I’ll have to check out the brands you like. The jacket you bought is similiar to one I bought for this season somewhere else and I love it. Have a great rest of your trip. You’ve been gone along time. So fun.

  16. I am a little short and round to carry off those jeans, but they look adorable on you! It’s nice to see the options available whether or not they are for me.

    1. You look great in everything but I sure hope this style doesn’t stick around for long. It just isn’t very flattering.

      1. Actually I’m a petite 5’ 0” and I wear them nicely. I find a fitted top and a fitted calf length boot with a heel (similar to Cindi’s shoes) works beautifully. 😃

  17. Love the outfits!
I live in Texas. This summer crop flares were my “uniform.” Crop jeans work really well when it’s so hot. I wasn’t sure I could wear them as I’m 5’3″. I loved them!

  18. Don’t follow the trends that are new if they don’t flatter you. This outfit makes you look at least 10 pounds heavier and rather frumpy.
