Truth: The woman in this verse is Mary (Lazarus’s sister). She gave her best to Jesus and started a “wave of blessing” that has been going on ever since.
She was a blessing to Jesus, a blessing to her home as the fragrance spread, a blessing to the early church that heard about her extravagant gift, and it’s recorded in three of the gospels. It’s been a blessing to many!

I love this passage about Mary pouring out the perfume… so much significance, but probably my favorite, is that it was a radical act of worship! We often do not get “radical” in our worship…. oh may it be! I want to worship my King and Savior with everything I am, everything I have!!

Thank you for these ideas.It made me think of my sweet mom in memory care. She is getting worse and yesterday when my brother visited her, she didn’t know who he was or his wife. She knew he belonged somehow, but didn’t know his name. We are loosing her slowly. Such a sad disease. I lost my dad 23 yrs. ago from a fall from a ladder. So, I know what its like to loose someone instantly too. God is in control in all ways and each of us has our time when He will call us HOME. I think of you today too, Cyndi, as I know you miss your mom even more this time of year, looking toward Mother’s Day. I know you were thinking of her as you wrote this post. Have a great day and night with your 3 grandkids. I know how it is. You do need to eat your Wheaties before they come. 🙂 They have so much energy, but its such a blessing. They say the sweetest things and bring so much JOY. I might be ordering the pink robe for myself. 🙂 Such a good price.
