Beauty for the Heart™ – Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. 1 Timothy 6:6

Truth: This verse is key to spiritual growth. Rather than consider amassing wealth as great gain, Paul states that “godliness with contentment is great gain.”

We should focus on pursuing holiness in conduct, attitude, and thought and choose to be content with what we have. Money and things cannot bring us happiness.

Deeper Study: Read 1 Timothy 6: 3-10

  1. Hi Cyndi,
I saw the comment by Diane about the ruffle and puffy sleeves. This was exactly what my comment was going to be about. I am turning 67 and this look does not work for many women. It seems that for the last several months many of your fashions featured have this element of ruffles and puffy sleeves at the shoulder down the arm. Even the maxi dresses have this element. I know it is in style and I think for the most part looks great on women under 40. Older women we look for at least short sleeves to cover the saggy upper inner arms, longer tunic style tops that are flattering and cover upper thighs and our bottoms. These types of tops are not easy to find because many are flowing at the bottom making us look very pear shaped. We are looking for fashion that covers the aged body but provides style. I have a friend and we regularly share your pictures of fashion and seek to imitate your fashion style. We almost feel lost not being able to share your fashions we love so much. You are so gracious and good at what you do, I just wanted to share my thoughts.

  2. Hello!

Are the J Crew jeans you are wearing the correct link? The link says high-rise but they don’t look like that on you or like the picture on JCrew website. I like the wash and look.

Bright pink looks great on you!

    Thanks!

  3. Always look forward to your morning posts and style suggestions, however, it seems like the last few posts have showed a lot of tops and dresses with huge, ruffled sleeves. As I do know this is the new trend , I am a 67 year old women who tries to dress stylish however, cannot pull off large, gathered, puffy sleeves. Maybe moving forward you could also show some simpler sleeve styles that would appeal to your older viewing audience. Thanks and love all that you do and your Beauty from the Heart message at the end of your posts. God Bless you .
