Spring Fashion Favorites

Happy hump day, ladies! Today I’ve got some of my spring fashion favorites that I’m hoping to wear soon. Our weather won’t warm up enough to wear some of these tops yet.

Spring Fashion Favorites

This Express top has been a great option for chilly weather, and I wore it yesterday with this jacket.

It’s no secret that I love pink, and this is a pretty pink top. I purchased these jeans from J.Crew Factory, and they’ve already sold out. The distressing is a little too much, plus they’re too big, so I’m sending them back.

Beauty For the Heart™ – Anna, a prophet, was also there in the Temple. She was the daughter of Phanuel from the tribe of Asher, and she was very old. Her husband died when they had been married only seven years. Then she lived as a widow to the age of eighty-four.

She never left the Temple but stayed there day and night, worshiping God with fasting and prayer. She came along just as Simeon was talking with Mary and Joseph, and she began praising God. She talked about the child to everyone who had been waiting expectantly for God to rescue Jerusalem. Luke 2:36-38

Truth: We live in a youth-oriented culture. As older women, it’s easy to feel the best years are behind us. But, scripture reminds us that age and gender present no barrier. Anna was a prophet who was among the first to bear witness to Jesus.

If we are breathing, God still has a purpose for us. He reserves some of his most significant assignments to women who have attained the maturity to handle them. Don’t let a youth-oriented culture deter you from living an abundant life!

Deeper Study: Read Luke 2:25-39

  1. Enjoy your trip to Williamsburg. We went there for a graduation trip when our son graduated from high school. I think I enjoyed it more than my son however!

  2. Amen to your BFTH. Perfect timing this morning as I woke up just alittle discouraged in some things and needed this reminder. How many of us would go back if we were told we could? Lol. Not me. It’s good to be on this side of so many things. 🙂 Cute outfits. I bought the curvy Jcrew vintage jeans you styled awhile ago. Thought size was ok but they stretched out so much. Too late to return and they’ve been washed. Glad I got them on sale but still cost a lot. I bought my true size so guessing maybe because they are curvy. So just heads up if anyone else orders, you might want to try two different sizes. These are the hemmed ones. Blessings.

  3. Such a beautiful reminder of our value as aging women. It is a special gift to our children and grandchildren to know our stories and remind them of Gods faithfulness through generations. Thank you for your devotions.

    1. I completely agree. However, I needed a reminder this morning. Even though most of us have never met each other, or Cyndi, it’s a blessing to be “in community” with women who just want to live our best lives for Jesus and our families, and look nice too. Many blessings, Ladies!

  4. Cyndi, Have a great trip to VA!! My husband was stationed at Langley AFB many years ago. We spent a lot of weekend exploring the Williamsburg area! I have many Fabulous memories. We live in MA now and my husband is retired Air Force. We have made road trips to VA a few times. Enjoy!
