Courtney’s Corner: Things I’ve Purchased and Love from Amazon

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

In today’s installment of Courtney’s Corner, she is sharing items from Amazon that she has purchased and loves. If you’re new here, Courtney is my daughter and mom to my 3 sweet grandchildren: Colt, Claire, and Caroline. She is joining us on Monday to share some of her favorite Amazon finds, home decor, and more!

Keep reading to see what items she is loving from Amazon this week.

Things I’ve Purchased and Love from Amazon

Comforter Set– I love this comforter set I got for our bed! So soft, and you don’t have to mess with a duvet. It’s an expensive look for way less! I do recommend steaming.

Curling Iron – My curling iron quit working, so I ordered this one to try. It works well, and I love the long barrel.

Gold Bar Cart – I have always wanted a bar cart, and we had the perfect spot for one. It’s so fun to decorate!

Cheetah Velvet Throw Pillow– I added these to our bed. They are beautiful and do not need an insert; it’s included.

Throw Pillow Inserts– These are the best throw pillow inserts I have found. They give you the perfect chopped pillow look.

Boys Swim Trunks – I love these trunks for boys, so many patterns. I already want to order another pair for Colt; they are the perfect length!

Vitamin C Serum – This is my favorite affordable serum! It’s one product I have noticed a difference in my skin since I have been using it, and there is no strong smell.

Little Girls Nightgown– I have recently switched to nightgowns for Claire. These are great for the summertime!

Crème Eye Shadow– I have become a huge fan of crème eye shadow, and this one is the best! It’s so easy to apply and has a built-in brush on the end that works great for blending. Plus, it’s clean beauty!

Gold Chandelier – I updated the light in our bedroom with this chandelier! It adds an elegant touch and really brightens the space.

Greek Themed Throw Pillow Cover– I bought these for our bedroom. They look so nice and would also be good for a living area or outdoor patio. They are very durable!

Faux Peonies– A great faux flower option!

Beauty For the Heart™You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. Psalm 4:7

Truth: There are two kinds of joy contrasted here–joy that comes from knowing and trusting God and joy that comes from pleasant circumstances.

Both are good, but the joy that comes from a deep relationship with God is strong and steady and can’t be shaken. There’s nothing wrong with being happy and enjoying life (for example, being with our family and enjoying a meal together), but pleasant circumstances come and go.

Joy is lasting. It’s deep inside us and gives us peace that no matter what comes our way, we know, the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

Deeper Study: Read Psalm 4:1-8

  1. Hey Cyndi-I am 53 and a huge advocate of clean eating and clean products! Years ago I discovered Vani Hari, also known as The Food Babe. She is who tackles the Big Food companies like Kraft, Subway and Starbucks and her IG is full of great information about bad ingredients and teaches which are “clean alternatives”. She’s definitely worth checking out!

  2. Hey Cyndi and Courtney–Just wanted to let you know that when I click on the links here, I get sent to Amazon but with an error message each time. I know you work hard on providing these links; just thought you might want to check to make sure they’re working right. Love you!

  3. Great finds Courtney. You have a good eye for decorating. One think I really have to work at. Does NOT come natural for me. I’m interested in the serum but there is so many ingredients in it, I don’t know. I’m trying to stay really clean with my make-up. I’m glad its working for you. As for the program you are following Cyndi with clean eating, with multiply food allergies, intorances and migraine trigger foods, this is how I’ve eaten for years. I have to read every label and most things I can’t have unless they are just fresh produce etc. There is some good clean snack items to switch to for sure or I have to make my own. When I get down about so many things I can’t eat, I have to remember to thank the Lord I have any food to eat. So many don’t. Good luck.

  4. I had hoped when you spoke of Courtenay’s good taste in decorating and adding it to the blog, that we would actually see the pieces in her home. This is a bit disappointing.

    1. JoAnne, Cyndi said she would try to get some pictures from Courtney’s bedroom redo soon. She has given us pictures of her house before with featured items. Its beautiful.

  5. Can you please tell me which of the crème eye shadow color(s) you recommend for a brunette with brown eyes? Thanks!

  6. I just noticed in some of your pictures Cyndi that your rug is different. It’s hard to tell, are there arrows on the rug? With the last name Archer, I’m drawn to anything with arrows.
