Summer Style with Kohl’s

Some of you have asked for some tops with sleeves, and I found two pretty floral blouses from Kohl’s with sleeves. This floral blouse has a flowy fit, and I love the baby blue and yellow floral colors.

I’m also wearing a neutral slide sandal, and they run TTS.

Lauren Conrad Flowy Puff Sleeve Top (I’m wearing a small) • Lauren Conrad Cuffed Jeans Shorts (I’m wearing a size 4) • Lauren Conrad Slide Sandals (TTS) • EarringsSunglasses

Another pretty blouse I’m styling is this yellow floral blouse. It has so many bright summer colors!

These sunglasses are Vera Wang brand, and I like the square style for a change.

I tied the top in the front instead of tucking it in.

This structured handbag is perfect for summer!

If you’re looking for jeans, these are a great option at a reasonable price. They have a relaxed fit, and I like the light wash for summer.

Beauty For the Heart™Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4:16-17

Truth: It is easy to lose heart, especially with all that’s going on in our world today, but Paul reminds us to rely on our inner strength that comes from God. Our troubles shouldn’t diminish our faith, but we should realize they can teach us to persevere.

Even when our troubles are great, God is still good, and His glory is always greater.

Let your beauty shine from the inside out today!

  1. Cyndi, It will soon be a year since my mama left to be with Jesus. We shared just a few months of her illness. It was fast and I can honestly say I believe she knew her time was short by the things she would say.
I miss her every day but draw strength from how she lived her life for Jesus. She left a legacy of kindness, compassion and finding joy in each day.

  2. Cyndi, I can relate to missing your Mama. I lost mine almost a year ago now…and it also came on so fast. We found out she had breast cancer and lost her 3 short weeks later. 😢 I miss her everyday. It leaves such a gaping hole in our family and our hearts. But I ‘m so thankful for God’s love and comfort! I don’t know how I would’ve gotten through this year without Him. So glad you’re shopping with Kohl’s again. Your Mom would be so proud.

  3. Mom & I were Talbot’s women. . We were blessed to be loved by strong women of faith. It’s great to have happy memories to cherish!

  4. Cyndi my heart goes out to you. My Mom passed away in 2001. We used to talk each evening at 6 pm for many years where I would share my/ our day, what the children and hubby were up to. She was my best friend and I miss her every day. My comfort is that we’ll see each other again when in the presence of our Lord. What you are doing with sharing in this blog is priceless and encouraging!! God Bless you!

  5. I loved your story about you & your mom, I can relate. My mom died 10 years ago and for the first five I would not go to church on Mothers Day. I could not even think about the sadness it brought to be celebrating Mothers, even though I am one. With Gods help I am now able to attend on that day. It’s hard losing a mom.
    Bless you!

  6. A lovely memory of you and your mom .. thank you for sharing it. Love, hugs and prayers to you and yours.

  7. Thanks so much for sharing your story about your sweet Mom. I understand what you are saying about not wanting to go to Kohl’s for a while. Great ideas for Kohl’s tops! 🙂

  8. Thanks for doing a Kohl’s post! Haven’t shopped there for a while but when I do it’s overwhelming with the amount of things in the store. Please do more I really enjoyed.😉

  9. Cyndi, what a wonderful post! I love Kohl’s! Cute outfits. Also, thank you so much for sharing the story about your mom. It’s precious. I just lost my mom this past winter. Your beautiful words about you know you will see her again are a comfort to me. Thank you!

  10. PS my mom now has dementia and I am loosing her slowly, so I know whats its like to loose a parent instantly and slowly and I know God gives us the strength to comfort those who need the same comforting as we once experienced. I’ve been able to relate to so many from this experience. There is a verse in the bible saying this very thing but can’t find the reference right this minute. 🙂

  11. Very cute outfits on you. I love a good floral blouse. I haven’t shopped Kohl’s before, but just ordered the white pull on shorts you styled awhile back and loved them but they are too see through in the white and show the pockets in the back that are not sew in the same on both sides. Both the size XS and SM were like that. ;( I wish the material was thicker. Have to return them. Did you have trouble with your white ones? Looking for ones similar. I like the jeans in this post. My eye has finally changed over to the more relaxed fit and now skinny jeans just don’t look right to me. I do think the newer styles are going to be harder to style in the Fall and Winter again with booties etc. I can relate to your story about your mom. I was shopping with 2 church friends all day the day I came home to find out my dad had fallen off a ladder and died. (I was 36 yrs. old) My whole world was rocked and the watch I had bought that day……actually the same time my dad died was so hard to wear and finally I just quit wearing it. It was a mom’s day out to shop and enjoy and we just never know whats around the corner. My mom just happened to be shopping too, just strange we weren’t together shopping, as we always did and she got home at 10p.m. that night with us all waiting at her house to tell her. Dad passed right away from the fall at 4p.m. Gives me chills to even type this. I’m so glad you have such a wonderful shopping memory with your mom and a nice vacation to remember. I too will see my dad again.

  12. Just wanted to reach out regarding the loss of your Mom and how it affected you in going to one of her favorite places. My sis and I were the exact same way only it is JC Penny its been 5 years this year and I still get a overwhelming sense of loss when walk through the departments where we used to have such a good time shopping together. Im h appy your able to enjoy Kohls again .. I know grief is a journey we continue to walk through and it is ever changing.

  13. So we keep our eyes on what is unseen. Because what is seen is temporary and what is unseen is eternal.

Those verses from 2 Cornithians 4 are played on a continuous loop in my mind in 2015 when my parents were both sick and died. I always love reading them. They bless me so much!

  14. Thank you for sharing your faith and being a shining light in tough times. God is good. Your Mom sounds like a wonderful woman. I miss not having a Kohl’s nearby but will check out online shopping options.

  15. I too miss my husband. I wish I could ask him what to do with this crazy world and decisions I have to make. Praying God fills you Cyndi with what you need as I meet HIM today.

  16. Thank you for sharing your story. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and passed away a month later. It was shocking. I’m glad you have such a sweet memory of that trip together.

  17. What a touching memory with your mom. I used to help my mom shop for clothes too. We both were blessed with wonderful moms and I wish I could talk to my mom everyday. She was my best friend. So thankful we will see them again.

  18. Cyndi, your story of your Mom really touched my heart! I lived out-of-state from my mother, and had spent significant time with her every single day for a week. This was very unusual but God had a plan. She suddenly passed away 2 1/2 weeks later. And I hear you on our country too. Suddenly it’s like living in a wilderness with wolves at the door, but I’m holding onto the Vision!

  19. Thank you for the sweet story about your Mom. Your Mom sounded like mine. Whatever I did or picked out she loved as she got older. We were lucky and blessed! I went to Kohl’s yesterday and they only have petites online now in our store. Never had shopped there before but they have some great brands so scouted out the place. All of the pieces are so cute on you!

  20. Thank you for sharing your sweet story about your mom. I had to let my mother go when I was 38 and never got to say goodbye. Thankfully, I have always been close to her sister, and she has been there for me in the sweetest way.

  21. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful memory of your dear mother. May she be at peace in the arms of our savior

  22. I so loved your story about shopping with your mom. The relationship you often mention between you reminds me of the closeness i had with my mom. She has been gone for so long but i think of her often and still miss her.
I wish i could talk to my mom about the state of our country too-and my father too as he was an Air Force pilot with a 32 year career. He was so proud of our country and he would be appalled of the situations we have going on now. Thank you again for sharing and God Bless you.

  23. What a sweet story about your Mom!

Thank you for showing us clothes from Kohls!! Both outfits are so cute!!

  24. I read the story about you helping your Mom and you shopping at Kohl’s. It touched my heart. I lost my mother when I was 26. So many things I would have liked to share with her. I know she gave me her strength. Thank you for your positive outlook and faith. 🙏✝️🙏

  25. Love the second outfit! Such a pretty blouse. I know what you mean about the memories! I used to think I could hear my mom singing in Church on Sunday! Missing my mom too!
