Anti-Aging Morning Skincare Routine (2022)

One of the questions I get asked quite a bit about is my skincare routine. If you’ve been around here long, you know I’m always changing things up.

Angie at Hot and Flashy is a youtube influencer who shares beauty, anti-aging, and health how-tos. She is a few years older than me, and her skin looks amazing.

I decided to try some of the products she uses, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how my skin looks and feels.

Anti-Aging Morning Skincare Routine

(These are in the order that I use them.)

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Gel  • I wash my face with this cleansing gel in the morning. It contains hyaluronic acid, helps increase skins hydration, and locks it in, leaving your skin feeling clean.

Eau Thermale Avene Thermal Spring Water • I spray this on my face before applying my skincare. It soothes, purifies, and increases hydration. It has lots of 5-star reviews.

Timeless Skin Care 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum • Vitamin C is a must in my morning skincare. It protects your skin and has essential nutrients to keep it bright, firm, and glowing.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid • This is a mild lactic acid. Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxyl acid that exfoliates the skin. (If you have sensitive skin, you may not be able to use this. Add it into your skincare routine slowly.)

Timeless Skin Care Coenzyme Q10 Serum • This is an antioxidant. It prevents the visible signs of aging and helps restore skin’s firmness + texture.

Colleen Rothschild Retinol Eye Serum • This helps keep my under-eye area moisturized, and I also think it helps with dark circles.

CeraVe moisturizing lotion • This is my final step (besides my sunscreen). This has hyaluronic acid and niacinamide but no sunscreen, and that’s why it’s PM.

EltaMD UV Glow Tinted Moisturizer with SPF Face Sunscreen • This is my last step, but it’s one of the most important. I use sunscreen every day.

That’s a wrap! Have you tried any of these products?

  1. I use the Ceva Ve PM in the morning also with the Elta MD sunscreen. I also use the Estee lauder night time serum but only one drop in the morning & neutrogena gel cream that is blue, eye cream, Timeless Vitamin C, etc. Thanks for posting your products!! Your skin is amazing and I am going to try the Ordinary product and the Neutrogena face wash plus the Q10 serum.

    1. Have you done a post on Botox, lasers or fillers? If I recall you were going to try these and post your thoughts/experience. Or maybe I’m confusing you with another older blogger I follow.

  2. I love love love this regimen. Thanks for sharing.
Pure game changer. It is a lot of steps but worth
It. The hydro boost face wash is so good, where has it been all my life! Thanks again!

  3. Is there a reason you use the Kora vitamin C serum instead of the Timeless that I think Angie uses? Maybe she’s changed but I thought last time I watched her routine she used Timeless. Also, do you know why Angie doesn’t just use the Cerave daytime lotion that has sunscreen and skip using a separate sunscreen?

    1. Gina, I had purchased the Kora Vitamin C and I want to use it before ordering the Timeless. Also, I don’t know about sunscreen. I’m assuming she thinks we need a separate sunscreen because it offers more protection.

    2. Cyndi,
I’ve been using your morning routine and love each and every product!!
Can you tell me what shade of Georgio Armani foundation you use? Your skin is Beautiful!!

  4. Yes! I use these Angie products and more. It has turned my 67 y/o skin around. My cleanser is the HydroBoost lotion for sensitive skin which is fragrance-free. I use Timeless 20% Vit C, The Ordinary 10% Lactic Acid, Timeless COQ 10 serum, plus sunscreen in the a.m. Nightly… .05 tretinoin, Timeless Matrixyl Synthe’ 6 and CeraVe PM. The lactic acid is a game-changer. My skin has never been this smooth and soft. Thank you for this post and I look forward to your evening routine.

  5. I have been using GoPure products for about 6 months consistently. I have to say my skin has never looked or felt better. Not only is it made in the US, 100% cruelty free but it’s free of all the bad stuff. It really works and I highly recommend.

  6. I am a long time reader, first time poster. I also have adopted Angie’s morning and evening routines, thought tight budgeting keeps me in the “bought at the drugstore” end of her suggestions. I am enjoying several CeraVe products, and I plan to try the Neutrogena Hydroboost Cleanser next. I love how my face is looking and feeling.

  7. I like you Cyndi have switched skin regimes several times in my life. I have tried some of the Tula products and thought they were good. I have recently been using Origins and I love it! Will stay with this for awhile.

  8. Morning Friends,
Angie Hot and Flashing is amazing. I have always thought she must have a science background.🤷‍♀️
Cyndi, Do you layer the Ordinary Lactic Acid with your other products in the morning? How much time between products does your skin require?
You look amazing Cyndi! Great Post!

    1. Yes I do layer it. I use the vitamin C, then the lactic acid, them the Q10 and the CeraVe.
I layer them on one after the other.
      I hope that helps!!
