Fashion Trend Fall 2022: Leather

Tremendous thanks to Nordstrom and Shopstyle Collective for sponsoring this post.

If you’ve been shopping lately, you probably have seen leather in everything from skirts, dresses, pants, jackets, and more. Statement leather pieces are a must this year and will easily complement your fall wardrobe.

Nordstrom is always my go-to place for the latest trends, and you’ll find plenty of leather clothes, shoes, and accessories. As always, they have free shipping and free returns.

Fashion Trend Fall 2022: Leather

A leather blazer is one of the most versatile pieces, from classically tailored to oversized silhouettes. It can be styled for countless occasions.

This oversized faux leather blazer has a tailored one-button fit.

I paired the blazer with a tank bodysuit in the rust color. My Madewell leopard print bag is sold out, but this bag is a good option.

These faux leather boots have a three-inch croc-embossed heel.

This faux leather blazer will look good with dresses and skirts too!

Blank NYC Faux Leather Blazer (I’m wearing a small) • Tank Bodysuit (I sized up to a medium) • Wit & Wisdom Jeans (I’m wearing a size 4) • Sam Edelman Bootie (TTS) • Madewell Crossbody Bag (option HERE) • Earrings

Beauty For the Heart™— Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. Psalm 107:28-29

On this journey, you will go through some tough times, but remember, storms never last forever. In the midst of the storm, seek the Lord and run to Him for shelter. He will protect you and help you endure.

Storms in life are not meant to break us but to bend us towards God.

Let your beauty shine from the inside out today!

  1. Several years ago the Kansas City area was hit with a debilitating ice storm that cut off power to everyone. A situation that’s too long to explain had me out on the roads the next day. On the interstate I counted over 150 utility trucks in a convoy heading into the area. They were from all over, both in and out of state. It brought tears to my eyes. There are so many good people doing good things, but we rarely hear about them. They’re the ones who should be on the red carpet accepting awards!

  2. I have a fashion question for you. I have this cute black blouse with sheer long sleeves with pearls on them. What color pant should I wear with this? I want to wear this blouse this winter. Would black pants be too much black? My name is Shari and I am 61 years old.

  3. Very cute blazer and boots. I love the color cognac. I have a real leather blazer from Chadwick’s in black. I wish they still offered it in cognac but this year it’s only in black and ruby red. It’s $169. I paid $100 when I bought mine. It’s not lamb leather but it’s good enough quality. The thing about faux leather is that after a few seasons it will crack. I had a cute jacket that started cracking while I was wearing it. Lol. That’s why I won’t pay a lot for faux leather. To me a lot is over $50.

  4. PS Any of you in Florida……KNOW I have been praying for you. Will also be praying for any of the other states it may be affecting. I live on the NW coast so we don’t have these type of threats. My heart goes out to you all.

  5. Very cute outfit on you. I love the cognac color of the leather with the light wash jeans. I love blazers. I’d like to see a full post on different blazer choses. I’m looking for another one to add to my wardrobe, but not sure if I want the faux leather. So cute though. I am so surprised manufacturers are charging so much for faux leather shoes/boots now.

  6. The title of your post said Leather which is very expensive and a challenge to care for. So I think what’s popular now is only “faux” leather which is more affordable and most of the time machine washable. And I like some of the items you’ve styled. The only true leather I would buy would be a good quality purse.

  7. Is anyone else struggling to wear these straight leg ankle jeans? At 52 I feel like I am wearing flooders. And it is getting cold here in Indiana. I am 5’7 , my ankles are cold😊

    1. Heather, I love the straight ankle with sandals and mules but having a hard time finding boots to work if I don’t want a heel. The lower heel boots feel frumpy to me. I have these same jeans Cyndi is styling and love them. I’m 5’3″ and had to cut some off of them to make them more ankle for me. I think the key is higher shaft boots. Cyndi always looks great in everything.

    2. It’s time for the designers to recognize that winter = cold and bring us some regular-length pants for the cold temperatures! They’re had to find this year.
