Gifts for Adult Children

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know I have two adult children. I like buying them fun items, of course, but I also love getting them practical things that I know will add value to their daily lives.

I will keep sharing at least two gift guides weekly as we approach the holidays. Remember that my gift guides can be accessed via the Navigation tab under “Holiday Gift Guides.”

Beauty For the Heart™But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do. Psalm 73:28

Truth: Just like the cold can move you closer to the fire, hard things can move you closer to God. So let it all draw you nearer to God…He’s drawn to you, especially now — and with all these broken pieces, He’s drawing a masterpiece that will someday make your heart burst into its own flame of praise. -Ann Voskamp

  1. All anyone has to do is look around other counties to see the negative impact that this will have on taxpayers, students, teachers, crime etc. Pike County is a great place to live, and I do not want to see it go the way of many other counties which have declined because of these types of changes. I lived in one of these areas in southwest Georgia and the level of entitlement has changed over the years and had a negative impact on the area. I loved living there then, but I am glad I don’t live there now.

  2. PS I am decorating today for Christmas. I bought a new artificial tree……always have had a LIVE tree, so wanted to put it up to see if its okay and the lights work etc. so decided to go ahead today and decorate. I’m feeling tired of my FALL decorations already this year anyway, as I decorated early. Last year we both had covid during Thanksgiving and Christmas, so I’m looking forward to decorating and celebrating. I’m working on finishing my Christmas shopping and then enjoying the season.

  3. Great ideas Cyndi! We only have one gift left to buy. All of the other gifts are wrapped and under the tree, as well as my husband’s birthday presents (his birthday is 12/18). I am a planner and don’t like last minute gift buying, however, I’m having shoulder surgery on 11/18, so this year I have a real reason to be ahead of the eight ball. Last night’s event at church sounds wonderful!

  4. Shopping for our adult children has become progressively more difficult as years go on. These are great jumping off places… and very practical, to boot! Thanks!
