Holiday Dress – Christmas Party Outfit

Thank you to JCPenney and Shopstyle Collective for sponsoring this post.

It’s officially the holiday season, which means a calendar full of office parties, dinner parties with friends, and family gatherings. With all the excitement comes the constant question: “What should I wear?”

I love getting dressed up, and JCPenney has plenty of dressy holiday apparel, and it’s all on sale. JCPenney really is that one-stop shop for all things holiday, from holiday apparel to gifts! You can easily shop their Holiday Hub online and in-store, saving you time this holiday season!

This velvet fit & flare dress is perfect for the Christmas season. Velvet fashion is trending; it’s both elegant and comfortable.

I added this evening bag with gold-tone and removable straps. You can carry it as a clutch or use the gold chain straps (there is a long strap or the shorter one that I’m showing).

These gorgeous heels have a rhinestone bow and a sparkling strap that adds glamour to the look.

I always love a gold hoop; these have a little sparkle and are under $20.

Let the festivities begin, I’m ready!

  1. Hi Cyndi,
This dress is so pretty, and looks great on you.
Your hair looks fantastic as well. Would you mind sharing your shampoo brand, and styling products? You have so much shine and great texture.
Maybe a styling video. I remember one from way back….it was very helpful.

  2. I was looking at the dress on JCP.com and noticed a seam on the back of the dress in the lower back area. Did you find that awkward or uncomfortable at all? You look stunning in the red velvet! Thank you for sharing.

  3. So pretty on you. I agree the red dress style is better than the green. But…. I always say you can wear anything. :). We don’t have dressy events anymore this time of year. We don’t have my husbands Christmas work party nor do we dress up that fancy at our family Christmas and our church is more casual, so a sweater dress works fine. Kind of takes the pressure off to have a fancy outfit. But, I’m like you, it’s fun to dress up when I have the chance. Enjoy.

  4. Beautiful dress on you. I love wrap styles and the red color on you. It’s much prettier than the other green one on the email. Those babydoll type dresses aren’t my thing. This red dress is so elegant.

  5. You look fabulous!! I love red for the holidays! Mine is Draper James sweater dress in red. You also look cute in the greenish velvet . I have a thing about about a ruffle on the very bottom and it making me look like I’m trying to look like a 20 year old so I steer clear of the tiered bottom ruffle kind. Wrap dresses like your red that are graceful and flowing are just my style & I love sweater dresses. Great job on getting the perfect look and you are beautiful in your Christmas dress! I will check out JC Penney’s website.
