This year is hard. We just lost my mom last Tuesday night, the next day would have been her birthday. I have been estranged from them and my sister for 12 years. But my dad, sister and I have come together to plan her memorial service. It has been extremely hard, we have had our moments, but know that mom is smiling down on us and happy. Your post yesterday about Thanksgivings past, frustrations, and anxiety are all happening here now. But your poem today really hit home about counting your blessings and not the bad. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Have a very blessed Thanksgiving.
Yes, I think more people need to be real on social media. It’s easy to fall into the trap and compare and have dispare, if we aren’t careful to keep in mind everyone had trials and what they show on social media is often like their Christmas card/letter….. only the good. This Thanksgiving will be very different for my family and husbands family. I lost my younger brother and he just lost his mom. We miss them, but know they are at peace and with the Lord.

We have a very small family. Parents, aunts and uncles all gone. I’m an only child and my husband is estranged from his siblings so our holidays include only the 4 of us ( 2 young adult girls). XO 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
